The two companies did not disclose the financial details of the transaction.

Integration of QuizNext will bring new features for schools to serve their assessment needs while building practice habit in students through gamified elements and personalized recommendations, a statement from the company said.

QuizNext is a quiz-based revision app that provides practice modes for ICSE and CBSE students, with features such as gamified learning, personalized revision, and curriculum-based interactive content. The app leverage artificial intelligence to understand a student’s efficiency index for scheduling quizzes week after week.

Commenting on the acquisition, Smita Deorah, Co-founder and COO, LEAD School, said,

“COVID-19 has brought in a seismic shift in school education. Beyond online classes, students need a lot of support in a remote learning environment for a full schooling impact. LEAD School is committed to providing complete, seamless schooling irrespective of whether schools are physically open or shut. Integration of QuizNext into our platform is another step in this direction. I am delighted to welcome the QuizNext team to LEAD School and look forward to working closely with them in offering excellent learning to every student.”

Founded in 2012 by Sumeet Mehta and Smita Deorah, LEAD School offers integrated curriculum and technology solutions to affordable private schools enabling them to impart better and advanced education. The company claims to partner with over 1,000 affordable private schools, serving more than 4 lakh students in over 400 cities, including tier 2, tier 3, and tier 4 cities and towns across 20 states.

LEAD School has developed its own high-quality learning content for students, teaching resources for teachers, technology integrations for schools to monitor the performance of students and a platform where parents can monitor their child’s academic performance.

Commenting on joining with LEAD School, Guruprasad Holla, Co-founder and CEO, QuizNext, said,

“We look forward to joining hands with LEAD School and fulfilling our vision of making learning engaging and effective. With an integrated system like LEAD, QuizNext can become more effective in serving students’ practice needs.”

Earlier in August this year, LEAD School had raised $28 million in a Series C funding round led by WestBridge Capital with participation from its existing investor Elevar Equity.
