Together, both companies will be able to expand their impact, improving the teaching and learning experience for teachers and multilingual students, the companies said in their respective press statements.

Issuing a statement on the development, Rob Waldron, CEO of Curriculum Associates, said,

“Ellevation has played a leading role in empowering and equipping educators and English Learners for success through its innovative and impactful solutions. Our aligned values and shared mission make this partnership a natural fit, and we look forward to working collaboratively to further enhance outcomes for English Learners in more schools nationwide.”

Ellevation, founded in 2011, is the nation’s leading software company focused on both program management and instructional solutions for multilingual learners. The company currently serves more than 1,000 partner districts and supports more than 1.5 million English learners nationwide.

Ellevation’s solutions streamline EL program management, improve teacher practice, increase student achievement, and foster a district-wide culture of accountability for the success of English language learners. Their solutions include the Ellevation Platform, which serves district administrators by organizing all EL student data, supporting the critical meeting and monitoring processes, and enabling accurate reporting and supporting instructional planning for multilingual students; Ellevation Strategies, which serves classroom teachers of every grade level and subject by providing instructional practice and activities that help multilingual learners master grade-level content; and Ellevation Math, which serves students by helping them comprehend the key academic vocabulary needed to arrive to class ready to engage.

Jordan Meranus, Co-founder & CEO of Ellevation, said,

“All of us at Ellevation love what we get to do and the mission we’re committed to. I can’t think of a better partner for us going forward than Curriculum Associates to help us deepen and accelerate our work.”

“As we prepare for the next stage of growth, Curriculum Associates’ operational capacity and industry expertise will be invaluable in helping us serve the needs of even more students,” added Teddy Rice, Co-founder & President of Ellevation.

Post the acquisition, Ellevation will operate as an independent product and brand under the Curriculum Associates umbrella.

Curriculum Associates, founded in 1969, has supported classroom teaching and learning for the past 50-plus years. The company offers a comprehensive suite of educational programs which support access to rigorous grade-level instruction for all learners. This includes the company’s flagship i-Ready® product, which makes the promise of differentiated instruction a practical reality for K–12 teachers and students and is proven to accelerate learning gains for English learners.

No more a student, but love to learn. Not a teacher, but care about how students are taught. Not an educator, but want everyone to be educated. Not a social worker, but desire to see change. Not a reformer, but always want to see a better world. The author believes that only sound education can bring a better future, better world and technology can help achieve a lot in this field.
