The Hyderabad-based firm plans to use the funds to scale its product, expand its operations, and focus on customer acquisition, according to a press statement. As part of its expansion plans, Workruit also aims to extend its recruitment platform in the US markets by Q1 2023 with the support of its strategic investors.

Founded by Manikanth Challa in 2017, Workruit provides a suite of B2B and B2C solutions, including resume builder, job search, and recruitment platform. It aims at simplifying job search and recruitment using advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies.

Workruit’s AI-based recruitment engine ensures companies get relevant applicants tailored for their job requirements, connect with suitable talents through its in-app chat messenger, chat instantly, and schedule interviews right away, enabling faster hiring for both employers and job seekers.

Speaking about the platform and how the funding will help the company, Manikanth Challa, Founder & CEO, Workruit, said,

“Workruit is developing tools to assist people in navigating the future of work, where career agility is more important than ever. In addition, our recruitment and career platform champions both the candidate and the enterprise, allowing both to connect easily and network. The investment establishes a strong strategic partnership that will propel Workruit into its next growth phase. Having them as partners will enable us to capitalize on the numerous opportunities that we see ahead of us.”

Workruit claims to have created over 1 million resumes and has a user base of over 2.5 million job seekers who are registered on its platform. The company has also partnered with over 500 colleges, focusing on workforce development. As part of its expansion plans, Workruit said, it aims to reach over 5 million job seekers, 5,000 enterprises and SMEs, and over 2,000 colleges by the end of 2023.

Sreenivasarao Lavu, Kantamaneni Family Office, said,

“Workruit is developing a distinctively powerful and personalized career platform that is tech-first and candidate-first, beginning with an automated resume offering. They also have a long list of major employers who use their technology, including Axis Bank, Quess Corp, Big Basket, Swiggy, Colleges, and Governments. We are thrilled to be collaborating with Workruit as they transform the hiring market.”

Workruit’s employers’ portfolio includes Just Dial, Byju’s, HDFC, Paytm, Uber, Quikr, Cipla, Fortune Group, Reliance Group, Amazon, Deloitte, Asian Paints, and Purpledot, among others.
