RobotLAB, an award-winning robotics integrator that provides transformative technological innovations and solutions to educators and business owners throughout the world, has announced a groundbreaking collaboration with the American Samoa Department of Education. As part of this collaboration, RobotLAB will provide more than 150 technology carts to the nation’s public schools, each including humanoid robots, virtual reality headsets, laptops, tablets and lesson plans that will expose students to age-appropriate technology and encourage mastery of computer science, artificial intelligence, automation, STEM and robotics.

RobotLAB’s professional roboticists and education specialists have designed each STEM cart for the various grade levels, ensuring teachers have the appropriate products and lesson plans for their students. The carts can hold classes of up to 24 pupils and come with three age-appropriate product bundles that include humanoid robots, virtual reality goggles, and more. RobotLAB, with an eye on inclusivity and accessibility, also provides robots, VR equipment, projected reality stations, and lesson materials for kids with a range of learning needs.

Speaking on the collaboration, Founder & CEO of RobotLAB, Elad Inbar, said:

We’re honoured to bring enhanced STEM education and robotics to American Samoa, as we’ve seen the positive impact these technologies have had on students over the last 15-plus years. After working with the American Samoa Department of Education to identify the best programs and packages for their needs, we’re excited to introduce students in American Samoa to best-in-class education technologies that will challenge and encourage them to master the interconnected world of robotics and automation through hands-on learning.

The American Samoa Department of Education aims to educate students with 21st-century literacy and cultural values to achieve success and resilience in various life contexts. It employs about 1,600 people (including multiple support offices and divisions, school site administrators, counsellors, teachers, and classified staff) to serve a student population of over 12,000 children. Its mission is to offer meaningful learning experiences by providing highly effective educators, appropriate resources, and community partnerships.

Dr. Solomona Tuisamatatele, Head of Technology Integration Office of the American Samoa Department of Education, added:

Through this partnership, we hope to familiarize our students with technology that will provide them with an advanced understanding of STEM, AI, robotics and more. Being so remote, our students are only sometimes able to access the evolving education technologies that those in other countries are exposed to regularly, so we’re eager to integrate these innovations on our islands best to prepare our students for the jobs of their future.

RobotLAB, which began operations in 2007, has successfully maintained its industry leadership for more than 15 years while simultaneously growing its portfolio to include cleaning, delivery, and customer service robots. The platform, known as ‘the robot guys’ in education and beyond, has provided turnkey robotics and technology solutions to businesses and schools worldwide. Its talented roboticists have effectively deployed over 10,000 robots, offering successful and highly specialized robotics solutions to enterprises and schools. As advancements in technology evolve faster than ever, the company aims to ensure the adults of the future can adapt to its inevitable advances. It manages all areas of the robotics integration process, including tailored programming, comprehensive integration, and repairs, to guarantee that businesses and schools get the most out of these technologies.
