With a global shortage of 4.5 million nurses by 2030, MeritTrac will utilize its vast testing experience to oversee the delivery of the OET Test, which has versions for 12 healthcare professions, in Bangalore. This strategic location will provide convenient access to these assessments for healthcare professionals across the region, ensuring they meet international standards and qualifications necessary for overseas employment. The OET Test’s acceptance by 500+ employers, regulators and universities worldwide further enhances its convenience and relevance.

Founded in 2000, MeritTrac facilitates talent acquisition through comprehensive assessments for freshers and experienced professionals. The company has made significant investments in test research and development, offering domain and skill-based assessments that cover the entire test administration process. Since its inception, MeritTrac has worked with over 500 organizations globally, helping them assess candidates for job readiness.

Speaking on the partnership, Manjunath K P, the COO at MeritTrac, said:

MeritTrac, with its roots in the Manipal Group, one of India’s largest hospital chains and nursing school network, is uniquely positioned to expand and embed awareness of the OET Test’s relevancy for an international healthcare career amongst students and professionals in the region. We are proud to partner with OET, a globally trusted and recognized test, and are confident in delivering secure assessments and a superior test-taker experience through our extensive industry experience.

With this partnership, MeritTrac along with OET will nurture a comprehensive ecosystem involving various stakeholders from medical and nursing education. This inclusive ecosystem will encompass aspiring learners, nursing schools, employers, and OET’s network of accredited preparation partners, all aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the test preparation and assessment journey and providing professionals with better opportunities for success.

MeritTrac’s partnership with OET aims to contribute to the global healthcare workforce by ensuring that Indian professionals can confidently demonstrate their language competence to satisfy international healthcare standards.

Tom Keenan, Regional Director, APAC, OET, stated:

When choosing a partner for expanding our test delivery in India, MeritTrac’s understanding of healthcare industry dynamics and its industry-leading testing processes stood out. We’re excited that this partnership can expand awareness and accessibility of the OET Test in the region to serve better Indian healthcare professionals seeking new opportunities.

OET empowers internationally trained healthcare professionals to communicate effectively in healthcare settings. It supports tens of thousands of healthcare professionals from over 100 countries who dream of taking their careers further. The platform’s test is recognized by 450+ organizations around the world, including for migration and licensing in Australia, New Zealand, the US, the UK, and more.
