NSDC International Limited (NSDCI), a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), has entered into a strategic partnership with IDP India, the sole distributor of IELTS examination in India, through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance the global employability of skilled Indian professionals by bridging critical gaps in skills and language proficiency. It will also benefit healthcare, information technology, engineering, and hospitality professionals.

The agreement was signed by Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO of NSDC and MD of NSDC International, and Piyush Kumar, IDP Education’s Regional Director for South Asia, Canada, and Latin America. The partnership highlights a shared commitment to providing Indian job seekers and professionals with the resources they need to succeed globally.

Commenting on this collaboration, Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO of NSDC and MD of NSDC International, stated:

By combining our strengths, we are committed to creating tailored pathways that enhance employability and open doors to international opportunities.

NSDC International and IDP India will collaborate to create a robust learning and testing ecosystem that includes cutting-edge digital technologies, online and offline training modules, and customized programmes. Over the next two years, this initiative aims to benefit at least 75,000 skilled professionals, with 20,000 expected to earn IELTS certification.

Piyush Kumar, Regional Director, South Asia, Canada, and Latin America (LATAM), IDP Education, added:

By combining NSDC International’s expertise in skill development with IDP’s proficiency in English language assessment, we aim to address gaps through tailored training programmes and certifications. Initiatives like this will equip professionals with the right skills to excel in competitive global markets, strengthening India’s position as a leading international talent hub.

The initiative will combine NSDC International’s expertise in skill and vocational training with IDP’s proficiency in English language assessment to deliver tailored programmes and certifications aligned with global employability standards. Through its testing partner, Planet Edu Exams Pvt Ltd., IDP India will develop integrated English language proficiency training programmes designed to prepare candidates for the demands of international employers. Participants will gain access to advanced digital resources and customized IELTS training modules to enhance their readiness for competitive global job markets. The unique IELTS Star framework will assess individual learning needs, offer targeted support, and monitor progress, ensuring participants are well-equipped for the competitive international job market.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Alok Kumar, CEO of NSDC International; Ajay Raina, COO of NSDC International; Dr. Sandeep Singh Kaura, Advisor of NSDC and NSDC International; Inderpreet Singh, Director of India IELTS Operations and South Asia Regional Lead of IDP Education; Sanjay Malaviya, Founder of Planet EDU; and Japdeep Singh Ghuman, Associate Director of the North Zone and institutional/Government Partnerships at IDP Education.
