Teaching science is an art; students should come out from their class with gratitude towards nature and spellbound by its elements and excited to learn more about it.

Students should value science as flexible process that offers better understanding of the world. When students don’t just treat Science merely like a subject and see it as multi-faceted; it will foster critical thinking and problem solving ability in students. Educators can cultivate such skills easily in their students through effective Science teaching; the right way of to teach Science is to encourage students to ask questions.

Luckily, developing such skills do not require shifting of entire curriculum. Simple shift in the resources and content can make a big difference and crafting accurate and positive views about Science. Some of the Science educational resources available over the web can be very beneficial for teachers.

Help them Ponder: Throughout teaching, encourage students to ponder and examine over a science topic and then test and revise how the idea works.

Make it Obvious: Key concepts about process and nature of Science should be obviously and freely emphasized. Studying the nature and history of science is helpful when it comes to understand concepts and go for discussion.

Give it context: Nature and concept about process of Science must be re-examined in many contexts throughout the year, enabling students to see and apply in real-world.

Ask an Astronomer: In this video format platform, scientists answer queries about the universe.

Atlas of the Universe: Atlas of the Universe comprises maps of the universe. Users can zoom out from the nearby stars to the whole universe.

BioED Online: BioED online is an online educational resource dedicated to biology. Students, teachers and parents can access streaming video presentations, slide library where they can find out many exciting lessons plan, activities and many other things.

Bugscope: On Bugscope, students can see bugs under a scanning electron optical microscope.

BuiltByKids: Inspires students to tackle DIY projects of their dreams with this platform.

CELLS Alive!:  CELLS Alive! brings together thirty years of computer-enhanced pictures of organisms and living cells for medical research and education.

Chemistry Activities for Kids: The platform features crafts, chemistry demonstrations and projects best for the kids. Some activities over here require supervision.

Digital Universe Atlas: The platform was developed by American Museum of Natural History’s Hayden Planetarium, with assistance from NASA. The digital atlas provides accurate and complete 3D atlas of Universe. Users can download it for free.

Dynamic Periodic Table: This is an interactive web2.0 periodic table. It has dynamic view that shows names, trend visualization, isotopes, electrons, oxidation and orbitals.

Impact Earth!: Impact Earth! is an interactive tool that enables users to calculate the destruction an asteroid or comet will cause if it occurred to hit with planet. Users can customized speed and size of the incoming object and item.

NASA for Students: NASA- American Space Agency offers educational media for various age group students. View Grades K-4, Grades 5-8 and Grades 9-12.

Eyes on the Solar System: This platform offers 3D view to explore cosmos from your PC. With Eyes on the Solar System, users can fly with NASA Voyage spacecraft and look out the complete solar system in actual time.

NASA Gateway to Astronaut Photography of Earth: The platform brings together videos and pictures of the Earth taken by NASA astronauts from space. 

NASA Photo Archive: Users can see NASA curated images here. Images over here are divided into three sets and they all are copyright-free, so users can share and use these images anywhere.

Science Kids: Offers educational resources for educators and parents to enable them in making Science an engaging and fun for kids. Users can find a lot of activities here facts, projects that promote a desire among students to learn Science.
