Experiential Education (EE), is an emerging field in India and is based on the philosophy of encouraging student to learn through experience as against pure instruction. Students become more actively involved in the learning process as compared to traditional, didactic education and are found to learn better.
Explorers Outdoor Ed is organising the first ever international Experiential Educators’ Conclave (EEC), to be held in Bangalore on December 12th, 13th and 14th, 2014. This conclave is a ground-breaking effort aimed at spreading and sustaining the practice of experiential education in India and will be of relevance to anyone, including principals, teachers and parents, interested in exploring a mode of education that is different, more effective than and yet complementary to traditional educational practices. It will bring together eminent Indian and American practitioners, researchers and progressive thinkers from the field of experiential education, who will share theory, best practices, tips and activities that can be applied in schools and also in everyday lives to help our children learn better.
