Furthering the aim of driving the country’s growth, there is high emphasis upon boosting India’s education and skilling ecosystem. This will further accelerate job creation and put India on the fast-track to greater economic growth.

Against this backdrop, TiE Delhi-NCR, is set to host the 6th Annual India Education Entrepreneurship Day (IEED) on 30th August, 2019. IEED is a leadership conference that looks at setting conversations around Vision 2025 for the industry. With an audience of 300+, #IEED brings together the brightest minds of the country with ideas focused on a wide range of subjects. It aims at initiating conversations that matter to the education and skilling sector, and have the power to foster learning and inspiration. #IEED brings together the entire education industry in India like no other forum and creates an opportunity for attendees to meet and connect with the best.

As part of the event, IEEDs knowledge partner, Michael & Susan Dell Foundation – India, will present a research on ‘Busting myths in the jobs ecosystem’. There will also be a panel discussion on ‘Role of tech platforms in transforming the jobs ecosystem’ that will see participation from key industry speakers like Mukul Singhal – Partner, PravegaVC,; Annanya Sarthak – Co-Founder and CEO, Awign; Nimish Sharma – Co-Founder and CEO, WorkEx Solutions; and Rahil Rangwala – Program Director, Michael & Susan Dell Foundation. Maheshwar Peri – Founder and Chairman, Careers360 will host the keynote panel that will overview the changing education landscape and talk about best practices with regard to policy, regulatory framework and market management.

Speaking on the event, Ms. Geetika Dayal, Executive Director – TiE Delhi-NCR, said, “The education sector has the potential to steer a country into a prosperous, tech-enabled future. Recognizing its importance, multiple new-age educational startups are cropping up across the country. Yet, there is a lack of cohesion in terms of quality and clear business models to sustain in the ever-changing environment.  IEED will present these startups with a platform where they can exchange new ideas and gain a wider perspective about the flourishing education sector. We believe that creating an enabling environment for startups in the education sector through this platform will go a long way in preparing them amply for the future.”

Sandeep Sinha – Managing Partner, Lumis Partners and Co Chair – TiE Delhi NCR Education and Training SIG, said, “There’s no doubt that education is a strategic priority of the Indian government. Initiatives like TiE Delhi-NCR’s IEED are further empowering educational startups to achieve their full potential and usher in an era of high-quality, tech-backed education for India’s vast population. “

IEED is open to TiE members as well as individuals who wish to explore different business opportunities in the education sector. Attendees will get an unparalleled opportunity to connect with a gamut of investors, entrepreneurs, mentors and influencers from the sector. Some of the speakers gracing the event include Vineet Kaul (VP, Paytm Education), Sandeep Sinha (Co-Founder and Managing Partner, Lumis Partners), Akshay Chaturvedi (Founder, Leverage Edu), Ayush Jaiswal (Co-Founder, Pesto), Charu Noheria (Co-Founder, 3RDFlix), Jairaj Bhattacharya (Founder, ConveGenius) and  Kinner Sacchdev (Co-Founder, Knorish), among others.
