Chitkara University has collaborated with ServiceNow, a leading digital workflow company, to train students in digital skills and improve their job prospects. The programme aims to benefit 500 students every year and is part of a global skilling initiative called RiseUp with ServiceNow, according to an official statement.
With this partnership, the programme incorporates practical simulations, with access to ServiceNow curriculum covering subjects such as ServiceNow advanced fundamentals, IT service management, scripting and application development, which will merge textbook knowledge with practical application.
The integrated curriculum is centered around training and certification programmes on the ServiceNow platform, which will enable students to pursue learning in a holistic way, which can result in greater intellectual curiosity, enhanced problem solving, encourage critical thinking and higher understanding of digital skills while in university.

ServiceNow is a global software company that offers a diverse platform with multiple applications from IT to HR. It currently serves 80% of the Fortune 500 and has produced solid financial results despite economic challenges. It is a Software-as-a-Services (SaaS) startup that originally provided a platform for IT service management. This basically involves a “help desk” functionality in which an employee would report incidents and then changes would be executed by the IT team.
The ServiceNow platform now includes applications for Customer Service, Financial Services, Automation, and much more. These various “Workflows” are all built on top of the “Now Platform.” This platform aims to break down business silos, and enable a unified platform for operations.
In December 2022, ServiceNow invested a strategic investment of an undisclosed amount in 15Five, a San Francisco-based holistic performance management company.
