Macademia offers entertaining video content that supports children’s development. The platform focuses on future-facing, 21st-century learning, which means topics such as Climate Responsibility, STEM, Media Literacy, and Creativity, to highlight just a few. Its Azoomee and Da Vinci brands have been delivering family entertainment to over 250 million households across more than 100 countries. Their portfolio includes documentaries, series, and reality shows, with a focus on science, education, nature, and cultural exploration.

With its diverse lineup of award-winning documentaries, heartwarming series, thrilling reality shows, and poignant stories, Da Vinci delivers an unforgettable and fun experience that brings families together. With more than 550 distribution partners, Da Vinci extends its reach through various consumer touchpoints, including SVOD channels available on platforms like Comcast Xfinity/Cox, kids mobile apps with 100s of teacher-created learning resources, web platforms for schools, hardware integrations and partnerships with EdTech brands like Kahoot!. Da Vinci provides unmatched entertainment and learning experiences for viewers of all ages, whether at home or on the go.

Speaking on the deal, Founders of CosmoBlue Media, Berk Uziyel and Loni Farhi, said in a joint statement:

We are thrilled to welcome Macademia, Azoomee and Da Vinci into the CosmoBlue Media family. This acquisition reflects our mission to provide enriching and diverse entertainment experiences across all platforms. Their exceptional lineup and strong global presence will allow us to expand our family and educational programming offerings. Together, we will continue to inspire, educate, and entertain audiences across the globe in innovative and engaging ways. Further assets will be added to the Cosmoblue portfolio very soon.

This is the company’s second acquisition after Sofy. tv, where Switzerland-based CosmoBlue is now actively enlarging its portfolio. Its assets will be concentrated on Sports, Movies/ Telenovelas, and Kids.
