IreeMay, an educational technology startup with headquarters in Dublin, recently announced a $1.93 million (€1.8 million) funding round to facilitate the launch of its AI-powered programme in secondary schools across Ireland and the United Kingdom. According to the company, the funding will come in two instalments: €800,000 this year, followed by €1 million in 2025. This will be used to develop the IreeMay platform, hire employees, and make their appearance in Ireland, with plans to expand into Europe, North America, and Oceania.

Co-founded by Arthur Godsil and Patrick Myers, IreeMay strives to positively impact the lives of secondary school students by empowering them and their guidance counsellors with a comprehensive programme. Its programme is designed to assist students in identifying their unique strengths, interests, and passions and equips them with the necessary tools to align these with a fulfilling life journey. The company aims to build a cutting-edge and comprehensive EdTech platform encompassing a vast ecosystem and fostering a thriving community.

IreeMay is developing a programme for secondary school pupils using advanced psychometrics, AI, and machine learning to “uncover what they want to do” and plan an “aligned life journey”. Its visual-based assessment and community for fourth- to sixth-year students promises to assist them in identifying their abilities, interests, and personal objectives. It is envisaged that the AI-powered assessment will be university-accredited.

Speaking about the platform, Co-founder & CEO of IreeMay, Arthur Godsil, said:

We are excited on multiple fronts. Beyond the incredible business opportunity to launch and build a successful company in Ireland, we are impassioned about fundamentally changing the lives of our children, their families, our communities and guidance counsellors. Rarely does an opportunity come to make a lasting impact on society.

IreeMay claims to have already worked with over 20 schools and received positive feedback from principals and guidance counsellors.

Adding about the company, Co-founder & COO of IreeMay, Patrick Myers, said:

Our mission is to help each child determine life paths that combine their strengths, interests and personal goals. We are building an ecosystem for the child’s entire support system to understand and discuss what’s available and best for them. There is a need in the market for our product, and we are very excited about the prospects for our communities.

Following the first assessment, the startup added that students are enrolled in a community platform that provides year-round assistance, resources, mentors, courses, and materials to help them “discover and execute” their post-secondary school journey.
