Edvisor, a study abroad educational technology platform and GuardMe Europe, a provider of insurance solutions for the international education industry, have announced a strategic partnership. The collaboration provides exclusive access to Guardme Europe insurance products for Edvisor customers in several countries, “ensuring comprehensive protection and peace of mind for students studying abroad, according to an official statement.

Guard.me Europe products are now exclusively available to Edvisor clients, except those based in Canada, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Spain and the UK – countries where GuardMe already operates. Clients can choose from three comprehensive policies: GuardMe MultiRisk Premium, GuardMe MultiRisk Premium + Cancellation, and GuardMe Travel + Cancellation.

The company added, “This groundbreaking agreement makes Edvisor the sole channel for agencies and educators across multiple markets to purchase GuardMe Europe insurance, providing a unique opportunity for their customers.” The agreement represents the first stage of the partnership’s long-term vision, with plans to introduce new insurance products and expand the GuardMe options available through Edvisor in the coming months.

Commenting on the collaboration, Jamie Gibbs, Commercial Director of Edvisor, stated:

Partnering with GuardMe Europe aligns perfectly with our mission to provide the highest quality services to our clients. We know GuardMe is a highly sought-after product, and this strategic collaboration shows our commitment to offering exclusive, top-tier insurance solutions through our platform. By integrating GuardMe’s exceptional coverage, we enhance the value and protection agents and educators can deliver to their students. This partnership has been a long time in the making, resulting from a shared vision and tireless efforts from both of our teams, and we are delighted to see it come to fruition.

According to Edvisor, GuardMe, one of the first organisations to enter the StudyTravel Super Star Hall of Fame in 2011 after winning the ST Star Insurance Provider category for a fifth time, is the only insurance provider specialised exclusively in the international education sector.

GuardMe Europe insurance policies are available for all academic purposes, including language programmes, camps, internships, and cultural trips, for students travelling anywhere in the world (for all ages up to 70). It also ensures immediate family members or dependents accompany students, teachers, school faculty, and staff. Annually, the firm serves more than 250,000 international students globally.

Mark Sheerin, Managing Director at GuardMe Europe, added:

We’ve known Edvisor for many years and have always envisioned joining forces with them. Today, that vision has finally become a reality, and we couldn’t be more excited. This partnership represents a strategic move for GuardMe Europe, allowing us to offer our unparalleled insurance products exclusively through Edvisor’s robust platform. We are confident that this collaboration will enhance the value and protection we provide, aligning perfectly with our commitment to excellence in the international education industry.

Edvisor was founded in 2014 as a marketplace technology platform for the international education sector. Headquartered in Canada, the company merged platforms with Book & Learn in 2020 and acquired Australia-based EducationLink in the same year. It also partnered with school management platform Fidelo Software GmbH last year and launched a new Agency Portal for educators earlier this year.
