The Gurugram-based startup secured the latest fund from Standard Greases Family group and Uday Sodhi, former business head of Sony Liv. It is a follow up to the seed round the startup had raised in December last year from venture capitalist firm 100X.VC.

Founded by Kinner N Sacchdev and Rakhi Wadhwa in 2016, Knorish offers a feature-packed platform that enables individuals such as artists, trainers, coaches, professionals, experts, instructors, consultants, and institutions to take their entire business online, sell courses and content from their online stores. The platform offers a host of features including a powerful website builder tool, a course builder, and pre-integrated payment gateways to automate payment collection, along with many other tools to quickly launch online academies and businesses.

Knorish empowers individuals to share their knowledge, grow their audience, and scale their online course with its powerful all-in-one platform. It provides everything one needs to build, launch and sell their courses online, enabling people to turn their passions into a steady income.

Speaking about the company, Kinner N Sacchdev, Co-founder of Knorish, said in a statement,

“The best way to do business currently is by going online. Not only do Knorish customers stand to discover newer avenues for revenue, but they will find more users for their training content from around the world faster.”

Knorish aims to change the way people learn by providing them all the tools they would need to convert their knowledge into a tangible and monetizable business that is sustainable and profitable, one that has the power to impact lives of millions.

Complimenting the startup, Uday Sodhi, former business head of Sony Liv and investor in the latest round, said,

“Knorish is a great new-age business that is disrupting the online training and education market. Its platform is empowering educational institutes and trainers during the toughest phase of their businesses.”

Content creators use Knorish’s platform to sell online courses and recorded webinars. Several schools also use the platform for managing their classes, content, and live classes by integrating videoconferencing applications such as Google Meet and Zoom.

Ninad Karpe, Partner at 100X.VC, also commented on the startup, saying,

“Knorish provides an easy way to create training content, have it on your own website with your brand and domain name, and full control of everything. The funding success of Knorish affirms our belief in the unique model that 100X.VC offers the early-stage startup ecosystem.”

Knorish claims to have witnessed over 400 percent rise in the number of content creators and usage on its platform since the coronavirus outbreak, with more than 1,000 academies signing up in the last 40 days.
