With the escalating demand for skilled professionals, IIT Delhi’s Executive Programme in AR and VR bridges the talent gap by bridging academic excellence with real-world applications. It offers in-depth knowledge of AR and VR technologies, from foundational concepts to the design and development of immersive experiences. Learners will master essential skills, including animation design and creating interactive AR and VR environments.

Speaking on the programme’s launch, Professor Charu Monga, a Professor at the Department of Design, IIT Delhi, said:

AR and VR technologies are transforming industries by delivering unparalleled immersive experiences. They are driving innovation across sectors such as education, healthcare, and entertainment, particularly with the rise of wearable technology. The Executive Programme in Virtual and Augmented Reality empowers learners to stay ahead of technological trends, harnessing emerging opportunities for growth and leadership in this dynamic field.

The curriculum encompasses 10 specialized modules covering AR-VR development, design principles, immersive experience creation, game development and prototyping. Learners will gain hands-on proficiency with industry-standard tools such as Unity, Unreal Engine, Adobe Photoshop, and After Effects. A capstone project will allow learners to demonstrate their expertise through real-world AR and VR development projects. Graduates of this programme will be well-positioned for high-demand roles, including AR/VR Designers, Game Designers and Instructional Designers, equipped with future-ready skills to shape the next frontier of digital experiences.

The programme will be delivered through LIVE interactive sessions in a Direct-to-Device (D2D) format, featuring industry-relevant case studies, simulations, projects and assignments. Learners will also benefit from an exclusive one-day campus immersion at IIT Delhi, gaining direct exposure to the institution’s renowned academic and research excellence.

The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, founded in 1961 as the College of Engineering, is one of India’s 23 IITs designated Centres of Excellence for training, research, and development in science, engineering, and technology. It was then designated as an Institution of National Importance under the “Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 1963” and renamed the “Indian Institute of Technology Delhi”. IIT Delhi has launched Online Certificate Programmes under eVIDYA@IITD (ई-विद्या@IITD), offering Virtual & Interactive learning for Driving Youth Advancement @IITD for both Indian and international learners.

The courses offered by the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) are designed to cater to the training and development needs of various organizations, industries, society, and individual participants at the national and international levels, with a vision to empower thousands of young learners by imparting high-quality Online Certificate Programmes in cutting-edge areas for their career advancement in different domains of engineering, technology, science, humanities and management.
