Internshala, an internship and online training platform, has collaborated with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) to empower the youth of India with cutting-edge skills. As the authorized partner, the platform aims to impact over three lakh learners within three years. The focus of this partnership lies in equipping young individuals with practical-based skills essential in today’s world. Some of the key abilities emphasized include data science, electric vehicle technology, digital marketing, machine learning, programming, web development, UI/UX design, IoT and various others, an official statement said.

As part of this collaboration, young learners can participate in paid internships, encouraging them to gain hands-on experience in their chosen fields. Upon completing the training programmes, learners will be awarded a co-branded certificate from NSDC and Internshala, aligning with the Skill India initiative.

Speaking on the partnership with NSDC, Founder & CEO of Internshala, Sarvesh Agrawal, said:

We are delighted to have partnered with NSDC to skill Indian students in most sought-after skills like AI, EV, digital marketing, HRM, full stack development, product management, and many more. The culture of meaningful internships has grown rapidly in India in the last ten years – largely thanks to the startup revolution. And early exposure to the world of work through internships has empowered students to understand the importance of practical skills early on in their college life and prepare themselves for an enriching career well in advance. Internshala and NSDC share a common vision to encourage career outcome-based training and skill development among the students of India to help them get the best start in their careers.

He added:

New jobs are created daily in today’s dynamic professional world. Here, it has become quintessential for aspiring job seekers to stay updated with the latest skills and become qualified for these jobs. Internshala online training is well devised by highly qualified subject matter experts and is updated with industry trends. Additionally, by being affordable and accessible anytime and anywhere, these trainings make skilling truly convenient for the students and on the go for the students.

Founded in 2010, Internshala aims to equip students with relevant skills & practical exposure to help them get the best possible start to their careers. The platform provides students with access to online training in in-demand skills and their first real-world experience through internships and fresher jobs, thus preparing them to launch their careers. It also offers fresher assignments and placement guarantee courses in line with its vision of owning the complete career journey of a student.

Commenting on the latest development, CEO of National Skill Development Corporation, Ved Mani Tiwari, said:

Bridging the gap between education and employment, and keeping up with the demand of future skills, internships provide valuable real-world experience and hands-on learning in a professional setting, making an individual better suited to the organizations where they aspire to work. Being exposed to the right environment, professionalism, and opportunities to showcase skills, passion, and competence is crucial.

Mani further stated:

NSDC’s collaboration with Internshala aims to promote and facilitate skill development among youth in India, empowering them to be prepared for the future by applying theoretical knowledge to practical situations and gaining a deeper understanding of their chosen field of work.

National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) aims to promote skill development by catalyzing the creation of large, quality and for-profit vocational institutions. The organization provides funding to build scalable and profitable vocational training initiatives. It acts as a catalyst in skill development by providing funding to enterprises, companies and organizations offering skill training. It also develops appropriate models to enhance, support and coordinate private sector initiatives. In May this year, NSDC National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), announced a strategic partnership with Camu, the flagship brand of Octoze Technologies, to launch NSDC Academy’s Skills for Higher Education powered by Camu.
