The curriculum covers Python fundamentals, data analysis, machine learning essentials, deep learning, AI, and geospatial data analysis. It also emphasizes processing satellite imagery and analyzing spatial data with Python. It has been designed to be approachable for beginners.

The course registration details and schedules are available on the IIRS e-learning platform. Working professionals, researchers, and tech enthusiasts interested in space technology and geospatial analysis can apply. After completing the course, participants will receive a certificate from ISRO with a minimum attendance of 70%.

The programme offers a valuable opportunity to gain skills in Python programming and its applications in space technology and geospatial analysis at zero cost. It will include opportunities for hands-on learning experiences and projects, allowing participants to apply their knowledge and gain practical learning exposure.

The course is designed to address the skill gap due to the growing need for skilled professionals in Python, AI, and machine learning, thereby helping to bridge the skill gap in these vital areas.

Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is India’s space agency. The organization works in science, engineering, and technology to reap the benefits of outer space for India and humanity. It is an essential aspect of the Indian government’s Department of Space (DOS). The department primarily executes the Indian Space Programme through ISRO’s many centres and components. Along with technological advancement, ISRO contributes to science and science education in the country. The Department of Space oversees several dedicated research centres and autonomous organizations focused on remote sensing, astronomy and astrophysics, atmospheric sciences, and space science in general. ISRO’s Lunar and interplanetary missions and other scientific initiatives support and promote science education while contributing significant data to the scientific community, enriching science overall.
