Medicaps University, an institution that empowers students and professionals in a diverse environment, has formed strategic partnerships with South Korea’s Woosong University and Malaysia’s INTI University to offer an innovative student exchange programme. Through this collaboration, five Computer Science Engineering and Management programme students will undertake semester-long studies abroad, combining international education with focused research on Indore’s urban development challenges.

Following a rigorous 5-month selection process that evaluated over 26 applicants, candidates were assessed based on their academic performance, Statement of Purpose (SOP), and personal interviews. The selection committee, comprising the Head of Department, Dean, and Vice Chancellor, focused on identifying students with strong academic credentials and a clear vision for contributing to urban development.

The selected students and their destinations are:

  • Nancy Srivastava – Computer Science Engineering, Woosong University
  • Ayush Joshi – Computer Science Engineering, Woosong University
  • Irifa Khaishagi – Computer Science Engineering, INTI University
  • Sakina Bohra – Computer Science Engineering, INTI University
  • Vanshika Soni – Management, INTI University

Dr D K Patnaik, Vice Chancellor of Medicaps University, said:

This programme represents our commitment to combining international education with local development. Our students will gain exposure to world-class education systems and bring back innovative solutions for Indore’s sustainable development. This initiative aligns perfectly with our vision of creating global citizens who contribute meaningfully to local communities.

Indore’s Honorable Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav conducted an interactive session with the selected students. The discussion focused on leveraging best practices for Indore’s Smart City initiatives, particularly in traffic management, waste disposal systems, and urban planning strategies.

Starting in February 2025, students will conduct educational course study and research work and do comparative research on urban development models during their stay abroad. The programme emphasizes studying South Korea’s advanced traffic management systems and Malaysia’s innovative waste management solutions. Upon return, they will present comprehensive recommendations to the Indore Municipal Corporation for practical implementation.

The initiative brings on Medicaps University’s outstanding track record of international partnership. It strengthens the institution’s standing as a leading global education hub while ensuring that worldwide best practices are modified to meet local needs. With over 25 years of excellence in quality education, the University, positioned in the heart of central India, employs contemporary pedagogical approaches and resources to ensure students’ modern and comprehensive development.
