Bhargavi Goel, a Class 12 student of DPS Vasant Kunj was felicitated at a the EdTechReview Early Education & Technology Conference organized in Gurgaon on 3rd Feb.

Bhargavi is the Founder and Developer of Glorifire, a free app that helps schoolchildren who aspire to innovate and build startups. Speaking on the occasion, Bhargavi said, “Your dreams become real, when you sing in your own voice”.

She further added, “Glorifire is intuitively designed social learning platform that brings ideators, peers, mentors and funders at one place, which makes its easy for the students to take their ideas to fruition”. A 17 year old Class 12 student, Ms. Goel wears several hats including Head Girl of DPS Vasant Kunj, a Spell Bee finalist, an NTSE scholar and a KVPY fellow. Her moment of inspiration came from none other than Mr. Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, at the launch of Startup India in January 2016. 

At the conference, Mrs. Melanie Kells, Dean of Canadian International School delighted the audience with an interactive session on use of mobile technology and integrating freely available apps in the curriculum. She said, “Bhargavi’s idea is very powerful. It can bring thousand of students at a common platform, which can be the beginning of a startup revolution”. More than 200 school leaders attended the event from all across India. 

Bhargavi has also worked on the National Entrepreneurship Bug for School Students.

TES an incubator in Gurgaon has announced the National Entrepreneurship Bug 2017, an all India competition for school children, in association with Glorifire, an idea sharing mobile app.

Announcing the launch of National Entrepreneurship Bug 2017, Mr. Sanjeeva Shivesh, CEO of The Entrepreneurship School, Gurgaon said, “This is the first ever competition of this kind for school children. We have rolled out the National Entrepreneurship Bug in partnership with Glorifire to encourage the spirit of innovation and harness the enormous potential of school children to think big and dream futuristic ideas”.  He added, “If any child has the entrepreneurship कीड़ा, NEB is an opportunity to win exciting prizes, incubation and investment opportunity”. 

The competition is running across more than 1000 schools of the country will encourage children to come up with ideas that can benefit the society.

Bhargavi Goel, Founder of Glorifire and a Class 12 student of DPS Vasant Kunj in Delhi said, “We are very excited that TES has selected Glorifire app as the technology platform for the National Entrepreneurship Bug. Our technology is robust and allows anyone to just capture, share and build ideas into a powerful venture.”

The NEB competition has 3-tiered format with awards at every stage will see participation from leading schools across the country. The first stage involves submission of ideas by school students individually or in teams through the Glorifire app, which can be downloaded on Google Play. Top 500 ideas nationally will be selected by a panel of experts comprising of entrepreneurs, innovators, investors, mentors and academia for the next round and will be rewarded with certificates and prizes. The top 50 ideas will be further shortlisted through interviews for the final round of mentoring program post which the selected teams will compete in a Rapid Prototyping. The three winning entries will win cash prizes worth Rs. 2 lakh. Over 50 scholarships as well as one week and six month mentoring programs at TES along-with funding opportunities will also be presented to shortlisted entries.

According to Mr. Sanjeeva Shivesh, CEO and Founder, TES, “In the last 4 years, we have worked actively with nascent startups, angel investors, successful entrepreneurs and industry experts to create a unique learning platform for students. Now the time has to take entrepreneurship education to schools. We believe that if India has to prosper, it has to create a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation by engaging with youth. National Entrepreneurship Bug with its objective to spark creativity, foster innovation and showcase inventions of school students from across India is a step forward in this direction.”
