Get Set Learn (GSL), a future-skills learning company, has joined forces with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) to launch the Skills for New Bharat initiative. The alliance aims to foster a mindset shift in schools, equipping 1 million K-12 students with an entrepreneurial mindset over five years and enabling them to thrive in a rapidly changing world impacted by AI, automation, and digital transformation.

The partnership focuses on three key pillars: developing a Future Skills Report to identify in-demand competencies, establishing Future Skills Tinkering Labs across schools in India, and integrating Get Set Learn’s Industry challenges platform SOLVEIT with NSDC Digital. This will provide students with hands-on experience through real-world industry challenges, encouraging them to apply their knowledge and gain recognition for problem-solving efforts.

The Future Skills Tinkering Labs will be established across schools nationwide, forming an interconnected hub-and-spoke model. These innovation labs will allow students to experiment, explore, and build hands-on projects to equip them with the skills, mindset, and toolset necessary for the future of work.

The collaboration’s critical element is also the launch of Get Set Learn’s SolveIT X NSDC Digital industry Challenges platform, where students can tackle global challenges, earning rewards and gaining valuable recognition. By prioritizing essential 21st-century skills, critical thinking, creativity, digital literacy, and AI proficiency—the initiative ensures that students are well-prepared for the challenges and opportunities that will define tomorrow’s workforce.

Commenting on the initiative, Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO of NSDC and MD of NSDC International, said:

I firmly believe that this partnership will prepare students for the future by building adaptable, resilient skills for upcoming challenges. By embedding future skills into the K-12 ecosystem, we are laying the foundation for a skilled and employable India. It is a key step in addressing the accelerating demand for future-ready skills in emerging technologies like AI, ML, and Robotics. It also profoundly aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision of making India a ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047.

Launching Future Skills Tinkering Labs across schools will create a linked physical tinkering lab ecosystem. Get Set Learn, and the National Skills Development Council will offer specialized courses in entrepreneurship, design thinking, artificial intelligence, robotics, leadership, and soft skills like change management, resilience, and teamwork. These courses will be given in experiential learning forms such as programs, boot camps, immersions, and industry engagements, allowing students to transfer seamlessly from education to employment. Furthermore, hackathons will become commonplace, providing students with regular opportunities to engage with real-world difficulties.

Ameet Zaverii, CEO & Co-founder of Get Set Learn, added:

We are thrilled to partner with NSDC. This organization has been a pioneer in transforming India’s skill development landscape. NSDC’s vision and commitment to empowering the nation’s workforce are unparalleled. At Get Set Learn, we are passionate about bridging the gap between education and the skills required for the future. This partnership marks a monumental step in equipping students with the critical skills needed for India, helping build a future workforce and leading us into the next era of global excellence. We invite progressive schools to join us in this exciting journey and collaborate to shape the future of learning together.

Get Set Learn was founded to create a future skills stack for K12 learners and offer schools a new-age approach to learning through immersive formats such as programmes, immersions, and boot camps. It is supported by the legendary Arvind Mafatlal Group, which has over 100 years of tradition. With a presence in over 30 cities, its programmes empower students in India with the skills needed for success in the future. The company has designed the curriculum and pedagogy with the help of modern teaching methodologies and integrating the core principles of NEP 2020, NCF, 21st-century skills, and the SDG goals, ensuring a holistic approach to education.
