Paismo, an HRTech startup focusing on “hire to retire” solutions, has recently raised $1.3 in a seed round, bringing its total funding to $1.5 million. Prominent global venture capital firms and regional investors, including Indus Valley Capital, Antler, and Jedar Capital, backed the funding round. The financing will be used by the Pakistan-based startup to expand the platform globally, focusing on countries in the Middle East, North Africa, and Southeast Asia. Its primary goal is to encourage employees to register bank accounts and increase access to health insurance.

Co-founded by Rebecka Zavaleta and Usama Mahmud, Paismo offers HR solutions to businesses, helping them with employee management, attendance tracking, performance evaluation, benefits provision, and payroll processing. The platform’s software-as-a-service (SaaS) offering is built to provide solutions internationally while creating local impact. It aims to provide customers with top-notch service that helps them grow their business and put their best foot forward.

Speaking about the company, Co-founder & CEO of Paismo, Rebecka Zavaleta, said:

Paismo is not just another software; it goes beyond that. It is a product-led company, providing a customizable, user-centric solution and actively integrating with strategic partners to foster access to benefits. We’re passionate about delivering a holistic experience to our clients.

Paismo has expanded its solution to select organizations across verticals since its launch in Pakistan this year. The firm has teamed with Adamjee Insurance and MCB Islamic Bank to provide easy access to insurance and financial benefits, with other significant partnerships in the works.

Commenting on the investment, Founder of Indus Valley Capital and Former VP of Growth & International at LinkedIn, Aatif Awan said:

I saw firsthand at LinkedIn how software can create economic opportunity globally. With Paismo, we are excited about the opportunity to build an incredible ‘Made in Pakistan, for the World’ SaaS product to solve a massive problem for employers and employees across emerging markets.

Paismo currently invites businesses of all sizes to participate in a free product demo. ‘Open an Account’ at paismo.com is open to all global enterprises.
