The round was also backed by successful angel investors and leaders including Gaurav VK Singhvi, Neeraj Tyagi, Bhawna Bhatnagar, Sandeep Balaji, Mili Shrivastava, Deepesh Hinduja, Monica Gupta, Rahul Hingmire, Milan Modi, Harsh Metha, Manan S Patel, and more.

According to the press statement, the Mumbai-based startup plans to use the raised funds to scale the school and teacher network across India, and hiring more talents.

Co-founded by two students, Shreyaan Daga and Koshika Mahajan, OLL acts as a marketplace which connects teachers with students in the genres such as  coding, robotics, arts, language, life skills and over 100 more options. All of the courses offered by OLL are live interactive and have been internationally certified by organisations such as STEM and UNESCO. The platform targets students from 1st – 10th grade in Tier 2 and 3 cities as the demand for skill development is extremely high in this age group.

OLL portal is primarily focused on working professionals, wherein it wants to draw in the most needed and urgent impact of quality education. The gap between the skills imparted and the industry expectation is exactly what the company strives to bridge.

Speaking about the company, Co-founder of Online Live Learning (OLL), Shreyaan Daga, said:

“Having WFC as a strategic investing partner is wonderful news for the OLL team and subscribers. We’re confident that this investment will pay off and contribute to our business traction while helping us scale quickly. Our business model already yields a GM of 70%, and with such strategic angels on board, we intend to put our ambition on the wise route to success. We clearly aim to witness over 50% year-on-year growth.”

The platform’s course curriculum and teaching methods are structured in an engaging and personalised manner to ensure that the interest and need is intact. It enables teachers to expand their expertise, and students can easily enrol to expand their knowledge bank.

Commenting on the investment, Co-founder of We Founder Circle, Bhawna Bhatnagar, said:

“We Founder Circle is always dedicated to providing new routes of mentorship and assistance to early-stage businesses. We invested in OLL since they displayed the ambition required to establish a high growth company. The educational system may be altered in a significant way, providing considerable benefits to society if OLL succeeds. Therefore, we will be assisting them in all phases of development including business strategy, community building and connecting with a skilled and right set of business mentors.”
