Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR), a leading postgraduate management institute, has announced the launch of its first asynchronous programme in Data Analysis under its Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) in association with Coursera. This move aligns with the Government of India’s drive towards e-learning and digital pedagogy.
As part of this comprehensive initiative, the Data Analysis MOOC is designed to equip prospective data analysts and business professionals with a thorough understanding of handling data in a business context. Participants will gain expertise in using probability, sampling techniques, predictive analysis, descriptive statistics, and other essential tools.
SPJIMR is preparing to introduce MOOCs in various subjects, including brand management, leadership development, finance, communication, supply chain, and project management. These courses aim to provide participants across diverse geographies with current and essential competencies needed to upskill and succeed in a highly competitive world.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be proficient in quantitative analysis methods and understand the importance of accurate data for credible business outcomes. Moreover, the Data Analysis MOOC offers a pathway to SPJIMR’s master’s level Post Graduate Diploma in Management Online (PGDM Online) programme, which is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), ensuring its quality and credibility.
