Workstream, a San Francisco-based mobile hiring and onboarding platform for the deskless workforce to reduce hiring time, has recently launched its groundbreaking multilingual and customizable AI chatbot, Workstream Assistant. As the flagship product in the company’s move to a fully AI-powered workforce management solution, Workstream Assistant empowers businesses to connect with and retain hourly workers across diverse markets nationwide.

With artificial intelligence experience from MIT, Google, Cornell and Stanford, Workstream built the first multilingual AI chatbot platform to broaden accessibility to AI to the over 80 million hourly workers in the US. The platform can understand various languages to accommodate the diverse workforce. It will use machine learning to provide applicants with more information about the company while gathering applicant information.

By enabling workers to communicate in any language they’re comfortable in, Workstream Assistant empowers applicants to ask more questions about the position and company – from what career progression they can expect to what the company culture is like. Allowing hourly workers to vet jobs through a natural conversation before they apply encourages a better applicant-to-job fit, resulting in stronger hires and better employee retention for businesses.

Speaking about the development, Director of Operations for Eegee’s, Jason Kornosky, said:

I am thrilled to embrace the power of AI in our recruiting and retention efforts. With the ability to personalize Workstream Assistant to embody our brand, we expect to attract more applicants excited to join the Eegee family, resulting in stronger hires. The chat-apply experience is so natural and authentic that it makes it easy for applicants to ask questions and vet us as much as we vet them. I see this significantly impacting building a loyal, happy workforce, and I want to see what more we can accomplish with Workstream AI.

Workstream enables businesses to source, screen, and hire deskless workers faster. The company offers a hiring platform that companies use to recruit deskless employees or employees who perform most of their work away from a computer. It can significantly reduce the manual work involved in the recruiting process. The startup automatically lets hiring managers upload openings to tens of thousands of job boards. Removing the need to place an ad on each job board separately promises to save time for recruiting teams. Hiring managers can access candidates’ applications through a mobile app.

Co-founder & CEO of Workstream, Desmond Lim, added:

Workstream Assistant represents a crucial breakthrough for the hourly workforce and is an indispensable tool for hiring managers and HR professionals. Its ability to bridge communication gaps and provide a seamless hiring experience makes it an essential resource for organizations seeking to attract and retain top talent in the competitive hourly workforce landscape.

The startup claims to have more than 24,000 businesses trust its platform to build a more robust deskless workforce so they can focus on what matters most: their team and their customers. It is used by franchisees and businesses like Burger King, UPS, and Marriott to hire and retain several million hourly employees. Through integration with OpenAI, its new AI technology uses previously acquired data points to create an AI platform to serve the hourly workforce.

Workstream has received funding from Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund, GGV Capital, Coatue, BOND, Basis Set Ventures, CRV, WiL and Soma Capital and Dropbox co-founder Arash Ferdowsi. The firm had raised $60 million in Series B round, bringing its total to $108 million in September last year.
