Once all is ready, and the teacher has created an assignment and shared it, the students can access the assignment and submit their versions online by just using Copy and Paste in the given submission area. As soon as the assignments are submitted by a student, the teacher can view and use the power of learn.ly to voice comment on submissions.

For students, as the submission is easy, so is getting the commented assignment. By simply clicking on the assignment again, they can see the commented version of the assignment. Here they can use the ‘Play Button’ and listen to what their teacher thinks about their work and also see the highlighted portion as a video.

Also, the users can connect their learn.ly to Google Drive, and can open any document in learn.ly for voice commenting by simply right clicking the document and selecting “open with” and from there selecting “Voice Comment”. This opens the document in learn.ly, from where the users can create and share the voice comments.

Our Review:- learn.ly is a very good tool for teachers who are interested in providing  their students with more personal attention. The platform allows teachers to create and collect assignments online and additionally equips them with the power to comment on each in their own voice. This creates a simulation of a real 1:1 environment. Also there is an option to highlight the content of an assignment. The platform is smartly built, where the students can submit assignments and the same can be viewed and commented upon by the teachers. Once done the system saves everything as a video and delivers it back to the students for them to view it. This allows teachers to make a formative assessment of the students and the students are able to receive step by step advice from the teachers.

The recording of voice comments along with text highlighting is very neatly done and the auto comment append feature is again very handy which appends all audio comments, one after the other to form a single clip. Features to create class, assignments and invite students to them allow complete control over a class to the teachers. Also the multi submission feature for students proves to be a small but very useful feature as it ensures that they don’t miss on anything when they submit an assignment.

Overall, learn.ly is very beautifully built tool to help teachers with the assignment feedback and commenting part of teaching and to keep things real, quick, simple and interesting, all at the same time.
