Within the app, you can start typing into the search bar at the bottom of the screen to search for an article, your search will be auto completed. Once the audio for your article is loaded, it begins to play. Using the ‘Transport’ or navigation bar, you can navigate through your Wikipedia article. On its leftmost is the button to view Article History, followed by Previous section, Play/Pause, Next section and Next article. Just above the search bar is the Overview button, clicking on which opens up the table of content that presents an overview of the article. You can access the Menu by swiping from the left of the screen towards the right. From the menu you can go to your Play Queue which is a custom queue of articles created by you for future listening. You can drag and drop topics to reorder your play queue. You can also access your offline list of articles, which contains articles that you can listen to without connecting to the Internet; this feature is only available with the pro version. You can share your article with others via social platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and more. The article can be auto-scrolled to move between next/previous or skipped sections, the font size can be adjusted and the language, tone/accent can be changed as well.
The pro version offers more advanced features. It supports playing articles in the background with the Music Player mode, randomizing article play queues, offline mode, automatic playing of related articles and changing the speech rate or pitch. The subsequent article can be played automatically once the current article is completed. You can even ignore wiki sections, links and articles that you don’t want to listen to and skip to a section using the Table of Contents.
