The prospective goals of AR include, enhancing a person’s performance of the world, The real ultimate goal is to create a system such that no user cannot tell the difference between the real world and the virtual augmentation of it. The best of this is being made possible using the smart phones.

Soon all phones produced will be smart phones; this means that future learners will have the means to access AR content at their fingertips. Images on walls or in publications can allow learners to access information when it suits them.

To the surprise, recently, GO BANANAS in collaboration with Transhuman Collective presents Mumbai in spectacular Augmented Reality. The visitors at the MCHI Property Show 2013 had a blast while experiencing different elements of Mumbai in this surreal zone. They travelled inside future Mumbai, took blessings from Lord Ganesha, Broke the Dahi handi, The Dabbawala delivered them lunch and could play the hero inside a Bollywood action shoot. Coming to the interest of the children, another fascinating example is the March with the National Geographic via the http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D0ojxzS1fCw where the people are participating with the animals of the yester years with pride and comic. It is a live example of Live Augmented Reality for National Geographic.

The best of the iOS Apps which dwell these appear to be fascinating too.

  • Acrossair: Dedicatedly designed for iOS platform, Acrossair is an augmented reality browser. It features an amazing 3D navigator that allows the users to reach their location easily.
  • Augmented Car Finder: This car finder augmented reality app is designed for all kind of iOS devices. It makes finding your car in crowded areas like a parking lot easier like never before.
  • TagWhat: This augmented reality app is for both iOS and Android devices. It is a nice app to explore new places and landmarks and find every little detail behind them.
  • iOnRoad Augmented Driving: The ultimate road safety augmented reality app, iOnRoad Augmented Driving is compatible with both iOS and Android devices. It offers navigation for on road trips and keep the user safe by preventing any kind of collision on the roads ahead.
