Impact a Powered-up Classroom can have on a Teachers ability to Engage Students

Shane Cox, Lumos Techologies CEO, talks about the impact a powered-up classroom can have on a teachers ability to engage students. Prior to LUMOS, Shane was a principal founder and COO at Skywire Technologies, a technology integration firm servicing the charter school industry.

His primary responsibilities were to design and oversee the installation of advanced technology systems in charter schools across the U.S. This technology includes wired and wireless networks, classroom A/V, paging, phone, and surveillance systems.

Shane’s firsthand experience with the frustrations that educators and school administrators face is what drove Shane to create LUMOS. He wanted to give schools simple and cost ­effective solutions to incorporate technology in the classroom. As a father of three children with various learning needs, Shane’s passion is in creating tools that give educators the power to engage and interact with each student using the power of technology.
