Employability.life, an innovative education service provider, has announced the launch of its new experiential microcredentials (XPMCs), which aims to give students “direct experience of professional work environments in bite-size chunks”. In XPMCs, learners will receive support from project managers and professional mentoring to identify personal strengths and develop five key digital economy capabilities: Growth mindset, Career intelligence, Digital intelligence, Cultural intelligence and Influence, according to an official statement.

The XPMCs can be easily added to the formal education curriculum of Indian institutions and make the students’ workplace ready. More than 60 institutions accounting for over 150,000 students are open to adopting XPMCs to enhance the employability of students across the country.

Commenting on the partnership, Employability.life said in a press statement:

The strategic partner for the XPMC product is Federation University Australia, and Employability.life is delighted to launch the project in the presence of their Vice Chancellor and President, Professor Duncan Bentley, and Carolyn Chong, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Global & Engagement), Federation University Australia.

Through this collaboration, Federation University Australia will accredit XPMCs and associated teacher training programmes. In addition, eligible students will get opportunities to visit and work on projects at the IBM emerging technologies hub located at Federation’s campus in Ballarat, Victoria, the statement further added.

The microcredential programme was launched in the presence of their Vice Chancellor and President, Professor Duncan Bentley, and Carolyn Chong, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Global & Engagement), Federation University Australia.

These microcredentials are built with ongoing industry cooperation to ensure maximum value, the partners have launched the initial XPMCs in Cybersecurity, Digital Finance, Product Management, AI, Digital Transformation, Supply Chain and Smart Manufacturing. By combining these future-facing topics with the benefits of experiential learning and bespoke credentialing, Employability.life will revolutionise training and qualifications, as well as reshape human resource management for corporate partners.

Professor Duncan Bentley, Vice-Chancellor and President of Federation University Australia, added:

In a first for Australia, the globally recognised co-operative education model will be embedded across all Federation programs from 2025. Therefore, we are delighted to enter into this strategic partnership with Employability.life supporting their mission to build a global co-op ecosystem, which will bring educators, employers, and learners together to help build the digitally-savvy talent that the global economy needs. We have a longstanding relationship with India and we look forward to playing our part in realising its vision to be the ‘skills capital’ of the world.

Employability.life is a rapidly-growing provider of education and training, registered in Singapore and headquartered in London, with offices also in India and Australia. Focused on the ‘Future of Work’ in a world of rapidly changing technologies and employment requirements. The platform provides cutting-edge and flexible solutions for students, graduates and professionals to keep themselves at peak readiness for workplaces.

Chief Executive Officer of Employability.life, Supriyo Chaudhuri, said:

Employability.life brings experience into education, transforming higher education institutions with project-based learning, all-round engagement with the students and a whole-person approach to their development. We are bringing Agile into education, enabling convergence between the future of work and the future of higher education.

Employability.life is the pioneer in experiential microcredentials worldwide. The XPMCs are in alignment with the proposed national credit framework under India’s new National Education Policy.

Adding further about the development, Chairman of Employability.life, Dr. Manish Malhotra, said:
