Studytube, a Dutch customized learning platform for organizations, and Archipel Academy, an all-in-one AI-driven learning platform, have recently announced that Archipel Academy will take over the ownership of Springest, a top-tier European training-booking marketplace. At the same time, Studytube will now cater to a selection of Springest’s esteemed clients. This acquisition aims to enhance the learning experience for all organizations involved and further expand the reach of both Studytube and Archipel Academy in the European market.

Established in Amsterdam in 2008 by CEO Ruben Timmerman, Springest is an independent comparison website for training programmes and courses. At Springest, one can find and compare training programmes and courses among 19 categories, like communication, IT, legal, etc. The platform has around 570 subjects, including public speaking, software engineering, contract law and more, that fit one learning and budget.

Springest, a marketplace with over 300,000 courses from more than 8,000 different learning suppliers, will see a change in the distribution of its customer base. Among the organizations that have transitioned to the Studytube learning platform are BAM, Eneco, Holland Casino, Athora, and Essent. These companies have chosen Studytube to meet their training needs and provide their employees with a comprehensive learning experience.

Studytube aims to harness the potential of every employee. The company makes employee development as simple and accessible as possible. Co-founded by Homam Karimi, Gerhard Riphagen, Sebastiaan Menheere, and Stepan Suvorov in 2013, the platform has a wide range of courses from various learning suppliers, ensuring that these organizations have access to high-quality training programmes.

With Springest’s acquisition, Archipel Academy significantly expands its learning offer. In addition, the company gains access to the Springest infrastructure in Germany, the United Kingdom, Scandinavia, and other European countries. It has expanded its reach, enabling the Dutch platform to extend its marketplace and support more organizations throughout Europe in their quest to stay ‘fit for the future’. The deal includes the trademark rights and the Springest platform.

As a part of the transaction, Springest employees will be employed by Archipel Academy and continue operating from the Netherlands and Germany. It has no direct impact on the service of the respective marketplaces of Springest, Studytube, and Archipel Academy. Each marketplace will continue to operate independently, serving its respective customer bases with unique offerings. The companies such as Achmea, Volksbank, T-Mobile, Vattenfall, Aegon, NS, Stork, PostNL, and Siemens, have decided to remain on the Springest platform.

Archipel Academy offers an AI-driven learning platform that enables organisations to offer employees training courses in a single place. It also provides access to over 2,000 trainers and 70,000 training courses. Headquartered in Gelderland, The Netherlands, the firm has recently acquired Quofox, a Berlin-based startup that offers digital corporate learning solutions and exclusive enterprise services.
