The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education and Secondary Education Departments have signed a non-financial Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with EMBIBE, an AI-powered learning platform, to accelerate the achievement of Nipun Bharat’s aims in the state. According to an official statement, EMBIBE was chosen for its interactive content collection and AI-driven personalisation to improve classroom teaching, student learning, and overall learning outcomes in Science, Maths, and Social Science across more than 55,000 schools.

Under this initiative, the Uttar Pradesh Government is making substantial investments to install 40,000 Smart Classrooms in Upper Primary schools, Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Labs at 880 blocks within Block Resource Centers (BRCs), and distributing 2,09,863 tablets to each primary school (2 per school). This comprehensive investment, as well as this MoU, reflect the Uttar Pradesh Government’s dedication to fostering high-quality education and empowering students and educators with the necessary resources to thrive in an increasingly digital world. These initiatives are set to transform the educational landscape in the state, making education more accessible and engaging for the young minds of Uttar Pradesh.

The MoU has been signed between the two entities, signifying the commitment to providing students in Uttar Pradesh with the very best digital content that aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) guidelines. EMBIBE’s engaging, AI-led classroom content powered by proprietary technology that allows for detailed tracking of lesson effectiveness will be used to power smart classrooms across the state. Students and teachers will also benefit from self-learning apps, which include state-of-the-art technology that even works on low bandwidth – Augmented Reality for the masses accessible without investments in expensive infrastructure. Beautiful content, including virtual experiments designed to foster the pedagogy of “learning by doing”, is poised to make education more interactive and practical. Embibe’s substantial investment in measuring engagement and its unique Knowledge Graph will lead to the tracking and remedying of student learning outcomes at scale for the first time. All the content is aligned with the syllabus and curricular goals of UP and is accessible in Hindi.

Speaking on the collaboration, Aditi Avasthi, Founder & CEO of EMBIBE, said:

Building an edtech platform and content capable enough to help realise the scale of the UP Government’s vision of Nipun Bharat has been a personal lifelong dream and possible only through 11 years of unwavering commitment. We are grateful for the opportunity and committed to the success of this partnership. We will ensure the innovation and adaptation needed to achieve last-mile impact. We are also very excited to collaborate with the dedicated and able teams at the Department of Basic Education and the Department of Madhyamik Shiksha, who have worked tirelessly on the ground thus far.

As the world’s leading AI-led EdTech platform, EMBIBE has enabled millions of students across India to achieve their full potential. The agreement with the Uttar Pradesh government expands the company’s impact to 104,464 schools in 25 states across India, including 596,250 instructors and 17,097,362 students. By democratising access to the highest quality digital education, the firm is leaving no stone unturned in fulfilling its aim of providing a “no regrets future for every child” and boosting the supply of skilled educators.

EMBIBE provides students with the highest level of customisation in terms of relevant content delivery and getting the proper guidance at the right moment during their preparation. Teachers will be able to teach each child individually thanks to the employment of strong algorithms and material libraries that will allow them to assign personalised homework to each child at the touch of a button. With five awarded patents, the platform is a pioneer in delivering personalised education and learning outcomes. It caters to all school boards, test prep and govt job exams, covering more than 400 exams in English, Hindi & 10 major regional languages.
