Rishihood University, India’s first and only social impact university, recently entered into an agreement with Delhi Teacher’s University (DTU). Prof. Shobhit Mathur, VC Rishihood University, and Prof. (Dr.) Dhananjay Joshi, VC, Delhi Teachers University, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutes. Rishihood University and DTU will work together to develop a comprehensive curriculum that meets international standards. This collaboration aims to provide essential digital skills to students and teachers and foster their ability to adapt to the digital world.

The joint effort of world-class institutes will pave the way for enhanced learning and research opportunities. Together, the institutes hope to significantly impact education accessibility and quality, benefiting students across the country. Workshops, conferences, and collaborative research projects will also provide ample opportunities for professional development for faculty members.

Delhi Teacher’s University is committed to advancing educational studies, leadership, and policy at the pre-service and in-service levels across the school levels. The University aims to address quality and equity issues in Teacher Education by preparing motivated, sensitive, knowledgeable, and skilled professional teachers and educators.

Prof. Shobhit Mathur, VC Rishihood University, expressed his thoughts on the partnership and said:

We are very excited to be part of this futuristic education goal. We will develop cognitive and meta-cognitive skills, which include critical thinking, creative thinking, learning-to-learn, and self-regulation. With a robust curriculum, digital content, and resources, we look forward to empowering future teachers and students to take on the world with state-of-the-art skill sets.

The cooperation between two leading institutes will focus on course design while ensuring equal access to quality education for learners of all abilities and backgrounds. They will work together to develop resources, strategies, and support mechanisms for innovative courses aimed at the holistic development of students. As part of the MoU, learners, teachers, and faculty exchanges will foster cultural understanding, encouraging international collaboration and cooperation.

Prof. (Dr.) Dhananjay Joshi, VC, Delhi Teachers University, added:

We are delighted to associate with Rishihood University and look forward to impacting the future of teaching in India. With a vision to train the learners for the future nation, this MoU will empower the teachers to build a resource pool that is suitably equipped and aligned with the futuristic needs of the country.

Rishihood University, founded and led by people from diverse backgrounds such as business, public life, spirituality, academia, social entrepreneurship, technology, and social work, aims to impart impactful education and instil leadership capacity in its students through a curriculum based on self-leadership, mentorship, experience, and multidisciplinary learning. The University provides a learning environment that is multifaceted, multidimensional, and multimodal.
