In a significant stride towards fostering global academic cooperation, Royal Holloway and Bedford New College, University of London, have inked a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Shoolini University, ushering in a transformative era of collaborative learning. The agreement establishes a pioneering 2+2 articulation programme to facilitate seamless academic progression for students embarking on their undergraduate journey in India.

The 2+2 programme opens up a world of possibilities for Shoolini University students. They can embark on specific undergraduate courses at Royal Holloway, a renowned institution, after meeting the required academic standards. After two years of enriching education at Shoolini, they can transfer to Royal Holloway for the remaining two years, culminating in a prestigious Royal Holloway degree.

A delegation from Royal Holloway included Lucy Gill-Simmen, Vice Dean of Education and Senior Lecturer in Business and Management; James McEvoy, Head of Biological Sciences; Argyrios Deligkas, Senior Lecturer in Computer Science; Lucy Thomas, Global Engagement Director; and Akhil Bagga, Regional Manager for South Asia. Shoolini University Founder Chancellor Prof PK Khosla, Dean (Research and Development) Prof Sourabh Kulshreshtha, and other deans and directors attended the event.

Prof. R. P. Diwedi, Director of the Office of International Affairs at Shoolini University, shared his thoughts on the partnership:

This collaboration reflects our commitment to providing students with world-class educational opportunities and preparing them for a globally interconnected world.

As part of this collaboration, Shoolini University will lead the way in promotional efforts, student recruitment, and admissions processes. Royal Holloway, on the other hand, will provide comprehensive guidance on navigating academic life at the institution. Prospective students can rest assured that they will be well-supported, with access to Royal Holloway’s extensive support services tailored to the needs of international students. This will facilitate a seamless transition to academic life in the United Kingdom.

Founded in 1886, Royal Holloway is renowned for its research and diverse student community. It offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across the arts, humanities, sciences, and social sciences. With its commitment to nurturing global perspectives, the university continues to shape higher education worldwide.

Deputy Director of the Office of International Affairs, Rozy Dhanta, expressed:

This partnership demonstrates our dedication to promoting global academic mobility and fostering cross-cultural exchange within our student community.

Shoolini University, established in 2009, aims to be a Role Model for Private University Education in India. It has a unique research and innovation-led model. The University believes that a great university drives cutting-edge knowledge and innovation while working for the social and economic upliftment of the community at the same time. It is this belief – along with its internationally qualified faculty, the focus on careers and placements for students, its continuous innovation in pedagogy and our highly motivated students – that makes Shoolini University a progressive and dynamic university in the global knowledge economy.
