Veranda Learning Solutions, a renowned enterprise in the education sector, has unveiled Veranda Pathfinder, a distinctive initiative committed to promoting inclusive education. A standout feature of this programme is its selection of 34 students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, providing them with free training for the TNPSC (Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission) exams.

Hailing from a humble background, Gomathi believes that being a member of the Veranda Pathfinder programme has given her more confidence. She stated:
I began my TNPSC preparations through self-studies at home last year. Once I joined the Veranda Pathfinder programme on a scholarship, my level of preparation went up by many notches. Regular tests and constant support from my mentors have given me a lot of self-belief to clear the exams.

The students were chosen based on their intent and economic background. The selection process for the students was fair and transparent. Our students belong to families whose annual income is less than Rs 3 lakh. More importantly, we chose students who had the hunger to succeed. In short, a student’s intent was a key criterion.
