Cloud computing services are being rapidly adopted by enterprises across the globe. And the demand is going to grow at an unprecedented rate.

 According to a report, the global cloud computing market size is expected to grow from $371.4 billion in 2020 to $832.1 billion by 2025, growing at a CAGR of 17.5% during the forecast period. The same report suggested that APAC is expected to grow at the highest CAGR during the forecast period. And, according to IDC’s May 2020 survey, “64% of Indian organizations are expected to increase demand for cloud computing while 56% for cloud software to support the new normal” as a result of the pandemic.

EdTech companies across the globe have been one of the major contributors to the growth of cloud computing, fed by the rising need for digital tools and online pedagogy. The digitalization of education has increased the use of Internet of Things (IoT), edge computing, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Machine Learning (ML) enabled real-time analytics, all of which in turn, add to the soaring cloud computing usage.

In view of this, Amazon Web Services (AWS) is organizing a series of webinars on “How to build, scale, and save on the cloud” in association with EdTechReview on the 3rd, 4th, 10th, and 11th November 2020.

 This four-session webinar series is designed to help education technology providers understand how AWS Cloud computing can help build and scale their EdTech solutions while saving operating costs. If you are a Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Chief Product Officer (CPO), Product Manager, or developer working to build solutions for your EdTech, this series is for you.

In the series, AWS EdTech Solutions experts will cover AWS services like Amazon Chime, Amazon Rekognition, and managed database services. Each session will have an overview of technologies, use-cases, how to deploy the solutions, and a hands-on lab and live Q&A with the AWS expert team. You will learn how Amazon Web Services can help you adapt and build your strategy, product roadmaps, and service models to address the needs of students, educators, and administrators in rapidly changing environments.

You will also discover how to build and offer classroom collaboration and content delivery tools, integrate artificial intelligence and machine learning for effective personalized learning, select the right tools to secure sensitive database, and do more while reducing your cloud operating costs.

The details of each session of the webinar series are below:

First session – Tuesday, 3rd November 2020

Topic: Modernizing Remote Classroom and Content Delivery Experience on AWS (Level 200-300)

This session will cover remote live class with Amazon Chime and Chime SDK, on-demand class delivery with AWS Elemental, and how to build a remote learning solution with AWS. The speakers of the session are Thean Keong Kwan, Senior Solutions Architect, ASEAN, Worldwide Public Sector, AWS; and Aris Prabhawa, Senior Solutions Architect, Indonesia, Worldwide Public Sector, AWS.

Second Session – Wednesday, 4th November 2020

Topic: Building Database, Data Lakes, and Analytics on AWS (Level 200-300)

This session will talk about managing databases, data lakes, and analytics in a simple and secure environment. The session will include a hands-on lab. The speakers of the session are Blair Layton, Head of Database, Asia Pacific & Japan, Worldwide Public Sector, AWS; and Ryan Hendriks, Principal Solutions Architect, Database, Asia Pacific & Japan, Worldwide Public Sector, AWS.

Third Session – Tuesday, 10th November 2020

Topic: Using AWS Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) Solutions to Improve Online Learning and Student Outcomes (Level 200)

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning are widely used in EdTech solutions. This session will cover how AWS AI and ML solutions can help improve online learning and student outcomes. The speaker of the session is Joe Pringle, Business Development Manager, AI and Machine Learning, Worldwide Public Sector, AWS.

Fourth Session – Wednesday, 11th November 2020

Topic: Optimizing AWS Operation Cost (Level 200 – 300)

This session will give an understanding of the AWS’ well-architected framework, and a how-to of optimize in AWS Cloud to reduce your operating cost. The speaker of this session is Vijay Khanna, Senior Solutions Architect, India, Worldwide Public Sector, AWS.
