Switch Video’s animated explainer videos aren’t just cute, funny and entertaining in fact they’re proven effective when used for education. Visual learning helps deliver educational content even more effectively. Using sight and sound, video is the most apt medium to convey information. With the added use of subtitles audiences then has the choice to watch, listen or to read.

It also engages students creating interest and provides an effective means for educators to address and deliver the required curriculum content. It benefits and enhances the learning process as interactive effects are used to create an impact of the material being studied. It is a great way of learning as it aids to increase a learner’s interest in a certain subject making the learning process more enjoyable and helping students to retain interest for longer periods. Visual learning provides a sensory experience that allows concepts and ideas to actually come to life as students are guided through each adventure.

Explainer video when used for education:

Video as a flexible medium:

Videos provide a means of interactive instruction and are a very flexible medium of education. It gives you the ability to stop, start and rewind the topic, which is of great use. It provides the option to challenge audiences to predict the outcome of a demonstration, and elaborate on, or debate a point of subject. You can add further interactivity by copying activities, conducting discussions or repeating demonstrations. The more interested and engaged audiences are the more interactive each learning session is.

Campaigns and missions:

Be it any type of campaign you are running, connection with the people is the most important aspect. It can be a little bumpy to maintain that connection especially when you are dealing with conceptual ideas.

Animated videos are the perfect solution for maintaining connection, and keeping the audiences interested.

Also, conveying ideas through the medium of explanatory videos makes it easier for people to grasp and retain the information.

Creating awareness/ public education:

When you need to reach general public in masses regarding your educational initiatives, using traditional techniques can be a little troublesome.  Using an explainer video is a convenient and interesting way to spread your message across while keeping your audience engaged. An explainer video can be included on your website or in presentation, and is easy to share and circulate in comparison to documents involving vast text information. It helps you to expand your reach easily.

Employee training:

Training multiple employees at a time can be a hectic and time-consuming task. Some procedures and policies can be hard to explain in one go due to the complexity of the nature.

As animated video is an efficient way to break down complex software or processes, they can be used to provide training to the employees and make it easier for them to learn.

Delivering this information in an explainer video can save time and money, allowing your staff to hit the ground running.

Schools:

Videos can be used in classrooms to explain difficult concepts. Concepts involving a lot of numbers are best conveyed through Animated videos as data and graphs can be presented in a way that makes the material come alive for students. It generates a much greater amount of interest and enjoyment than the most traditional printed material. Visual techniques are used widely in schools across the globe to accomplish curriculum goals and improve students’ performance. The aim is to get students energized and engaged in the hands-on learning process and video is clearly instructional medium that keeps the class interested.
