Online education platform, WizIQ announces the launch of summer school massive open online course (MOOC) for English teachers by the International Teacher Development Institute (iTDi). The ‘Fly High With iTDi’ MOOC commences on July 20, 2014 and is designed for English teachers to enhance their teaching skills.
The four week MOOC is dedicated to Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) development training delivered by the faculty, mentors, associates, and leading community members of iTDi.

This MOOC will help teachers in the following way:
- Learning how to make their own education materials
- Designing interactive classroom games
- Discovering how to create projects, and set up a blog
- Learn about the latest education apps, using social media in class & more..
The course enables participants to choose from a wide range of sessions, and learn more about teaching reading, writing, listening and speaking. The MOOC covers topics ranging from grammar, vocabulary, motivation, research, classroom management, and more. Participants will be able to make their own materials, design their own games, discover how to create projects, set up a blog, use the latest apps, bring art into their classroom, and use social media in class.
The MOOC will be delivered with the help of interactive live online classes, pre and post class chats in WizIQ and short online quizzes to check understanding of material. Live classes will be delivered via the WizIQ Virtual Classroom and class recordings will be available for download. Learners will have lifetime access to class recordings and course content.
All the participants of the MOOC will be awarded Certificates of Participation issued by WizIQ and certified by iTDi. Successful participants will be eligible to receive iTDi-certified professional development credit.
