The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has recently announced ‘STEM education’ as the yearly training theme 2025. Rahul Singh, the CBSE chairman, emphasized the importance of STEM education in providing students with critical thinking, problem-solving, and innovation skills necessary for a technologically driven future. Every year, CBSE decides on a specific theme for training programmes, and this year, it is ‘STEM education’, which aims to improve teaching methodologies in science, engineering, technology, and related fields.

The board has issued the CBSE Class 10 and 12 admit card 2025 for regular and private students on its Pariksha Sangam portal. As per the CBSE date sheet 2025, Class 10 and 12 board exams will begin on February 15. The board is also conducting free psycho-social counselling for students to support them during their board exams. The CBSE counselling sessions are scheduled until April 4, 2025.

In line with the yearly theme ‘STEM Education,’ CBSE will organize specific Capacity-Building Programmes (CBPs) to assist educators in incorporating STEM-focused teaching practices into classrooms. According to an official announcement from CBSE, these CBPs will operate alongside regular teacher training sessions. The board commenced the CBPs with the launch of the 3030 Eklavya STEM education online series. In partnership with IIT Gandhinagar, the CBSE has launched the 3030 Eklavya STEM education online series to promote STEM education.

The 3030 Eklavya STEM education allows subject teachers to earn up to 30 hours of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) training upon completing all 10 sessions. Its programme includes hands-on STEM activities, engaging questions and assignments designed to enhance conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving. Interested participants can register for the 3030 Eklavya STEM education online series by visiting the official website.

The first episode was on January 26, and the upcoming episodes are scheduled for February 9, 16, and 23. The programme consists of 10 sessions, each including lectures, homework, projects, and assignments, which together equate to 3 hours of CPD training per session. The sessions will be streamed live every Sunday at 4 p.m. and available on the CCL YouTube channel.

Upon completion of the 3030 Eklavya STEM education programme, participants can get a participation certificate (₹200 + taxes) and/or a certificate of competency or teacher training (₹200 + taxes).
