Friends Union for Energising Lives (FUEL), a non-profit organization that focuses on skill development and education, has joined forces with Karnataka Skill Development Corporation (KSDC) to train 1000 candidates for job roles in new age fields such as Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML), AI data science, cloud architect 2.0, and software engineering. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed on November 2, 2023.

Under Chief Minister Kaushalya Karnataka Yojane (CMKKY), FUEL will mobilise and select candidates, with support from KSDC, and train a cohort of 250 aspirants in four key sectors. With its extensive network of industry partners and highly qualified training personnel, FUEL will provide candidates with in-depth and practical knowledge of emerging sectors such as AI and ML, guiding business decisions globally.

Through leveraging partnerships with stakeholders in industry, academia, and other public institutions worldwide, KSDC is bridging skill gaps across sectors by offering short-term vocational training and entrepreneurship development programmes to prepare Karnataka’s workforce for competing at regional, national, and international markets.

Sharing his thoughts on the initiative, Founder & CEO of FUEL, Ketan Deshpande, stated:

FUEL has been at the forefront in offering an upskilling curriculum to develop and implement various skill-training programmes based on the emerging demand across industries. The technological paradigm shift has impacted businesses and necessitated urgent upskilling of the future workforce. We impart knowledge on trending topics, bridging the gap between enterprises and academics. Our innovative methods hone the creative minds of young learners and ensure them the best placements at high-end companies.

FUEL’s Chief Mentor, Santosh Huralikoppi, explained:

India has established itself as the hub of quality professionals. Considering today’s rising demand in technology and software development, FUEL is dedicated to imparting skilling and upskilling with a unique and complex learning environment to explore and experience different field settings and achieve clinical competencies. For this, we are happy to associate with KSDC and be part of its distinct initiative to take the upskilling of IT professionals to the next level. KSDC is a global name recognized for skill development programmes and training. FUEL’s programme will ensure participants have wider professional opportunities as they obtain the right skills in tandem with the evolving global requirements.

Friends Union for Energising Lives (FUEL), started in 2006, is a National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) Innovation Partner. Based in Pune, the platform provides students with more access to information and opportunities. Through its structured plan, it imparts a set of Skill Development initiatives with the aim of Developing Skills for Tomorrow. Skill Development Projects, Professional & Vocational Education, Research & Development, and Consulting are all areas where the company is actively involved. FUEL recently signed an MOU with Niti Aayog to work together on the development of 117 Aspirational Districts of India, as the Honourable Prime Minister of India envisioned. Ketan Deshpande and Santosh Huralikoppi from FUEL were awarded “Champions of Change.”
