The round also saw participation from other investors such as YourNest Venture Capital, IDFC Parampara Fund, along with some high-net-worth individuals.

Founded in 2014 by Subbarao Siddabattula, Charu Noheria and Ilangovel Thulasimani, 3RDFlix focuses on interactive and experiential learning to increase retention and engagement levels among students. The company uses visual effects and technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Mixed Reality (MR) to create life-like experiences for enhanced learning.

3RDFlix provides its services through an AI-enabled learning platform under the brand name Corsalite. It also plans to launch another immersive content product under the brand name 3RDFlix before the end of this year.

The startup plans to use the fund to build content for 6-12 grade students and expand its current market penetration in next few months.

Speaking about the company’s mission and its future plans, Charu Noheria, Co-founder and Chief Business Officer of 3RDFlix, reportedly said,

“Our mission is to make learning more fun and increase retention rates using immersive and experiential content. We aim to reach every student, teacher and education institute in this mission.”

“In the next few months, we plan to open an office in Delhi to be closer to our clients in north India, and over the course of this year, we plan to expand further in India. We also have plans to expand internationally in the next 18 months. We are particularly targeting the US, UAE, Africa, and South East Asia.”

Lauding the 3RDFlix founders and their mission, Shailesh Ghorpade, Managing Partner and CIO, Exfinity Venture Patners, also reportedly commented saying,

“3RDFlix is founded by a stellar founding team that is driven by a mission to democratize effective learning by supplementing teachers with content that is immersive, modular and conceptualized by veteran academicians. In India, there is an acute problem of imparting effective knowledge and 3RDFlix attacks this core issue by ensuring that its cutting-edge content can make teaching effective and increase student engagement.”

3RDFlix uses latest in visualization technology to make delivery of education highly effective. The company applies the same techniques employed by movie makers in creating visually pleasing and easy to understand content along with interactive simulations which are relevant worldwide.
