Under the leadership of Professor Ram Kumar Kakani, Director, IIM Raipur, and Professor Ebrahim Adia, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Wolverhampton, a significant partnership has been forged. This alliance, marked by the signing of the MoU, is a testament to the commitment of both institutions to academic excellence and international collaboration. The exchange of expertise, resources, and research capabilities will undoubtedly enrich the academic journey for students and faculty.

Highlighting the importance of international collaboration in today’s educational landscape, Professor Ram Kumar Kakani said:

This MoU will not only strengthen the academic ties between IIM Raipur and the University of Wolverhampton but also open new avenues for knowledge exchange, research collaboration, and cross-cultural learning experiences for our students and faculty. We aim to create opportunities for students and researchers that will have a lasting impact on both our communities.

The agreement is set to focus on several key areas, including joint research projects, dual degree programmes, faculty development programmes, student exchange initiatives, and the development of innovative educational programmes. The MoU also includes provisions for organizing joint seminars, workshops, and conferences to promote knowledge sharing and collaboration. This alliance is expected to increase institutions’ global visibility and outreach, setting the path for future cooperation in various academic and research areas.

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) was set up by the Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development (now known as the Ministry of Education) in 2010 at Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. The Institute believes in preparing ethical leaders who are not only committed to business, commerce, and industry but are also socially conscious of their contribution to nation-building and bringing in the name of the country globally.
