Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU) Marion campus and IWU National and Global have formed a partnership with Ascend Indiana to connect more students to good and promising career opportunities in Indiana. Through the Ascend Network, the initiative’s online job matching platform, IWU can connect with Indiana jobs and internships matching their skill sets and interests and receive increased one-on-one career guidance and job search support. Furthermore, this collaboration provides Indiana’s leading employers with a unique platform for hiring IWU students.
Since its inception in 2017, Ascend has connected over 4,000 Indiana residents with job and training opportunities across the state. Over 700 employers now use the Network. This programme strengthens the school’s efforts to help students discover jobs and internships that correspond with their career aspirations. It also provides a window into the variety of companies and opportunities available in Indiana.
Speaking on the partnership, Levi Huffman, Indiana Wesleyan University’s Associate Dean of Life Calling and Career, said:
Ascend will help IWU students easily connect to the jobs and internships they want. This relationship compliments the expert services our Life Calling & Career office provides the IWU community. We are excited to see how Ascend will help our students fulfil their vocational calling.

Through the Network, students receive personalized job and internship recommendations, which lead to meaningful careers in Indiana. Its services provide consulting and capacity building to meet high-demand workforce needs and catalyze transformative partnerships between employers and talent providers. In collaboration with Ascend, IWU’s Career Services will continue to provide individualized support and educational resources during the job search, application, and interview process.
