iStoria, a specialized application for teaching the English language, has recently announced that it has raised $1.3 million in a seed round led by notable investors, including Nama Ventures، Classera, Flat6Labs, BIM Ventures, and several prominent angel investors. With the new financing, the startup plans to enhance its English language learning platform, accelerate innovation, and reach learners worldwide. This recent investment marks a significant milestone in establishing iStoria as a leader in English language education, providing even more value to its consumers.

Co-founded in 2022 by Abdullah Al-Jaberi, Faisal Al-Hamoud, Abdel Nasser Al-Wali, Ismail Ashour, and Khaled Al-Rashed, iStoria is a Saudi-based initiative in partnership with Oxford, stands out for its unique approach to English language education. The platform focuses on vocabulary-building through graded-reader stories tailored for learners of all levels, accompanied by comprehension questions and rigorous tests to master vocabulary. This approach is meticulously designed to ensure that students complete international language assessments. Furthermore, the app has new features that improve the entire user experience.

Eng. Abdullah Al-Jabri, the founder and CEO of iStoria, expressed his satisfaction with the completion of this financing round, stating:

Through this funding, we will continue our mission to empower individuals to communicate effectively and boost their confidence in using the English language. We are optimistic and eagerly anticipate the next phase of our journey. Our growth and impact will primarily come from serving organizations and expanding our global presence.

With a global user base of over one million learners, iStoria has achieved exceptional satisfaction levels, earning a phenomenal App Store rating of 4.6 out of 5. The surge in popularity has been fueled by the app’s growth into the educational sector, where it has formed connections with several private and public schools. These partnerships have allowed schools to include iStoria in their curricula, promoting English language development and providing direct supervision.

iStoria’s vision is to be the most effective application and best learning option for dedicated learners to improve their English language skills and establish a community of a million learners on its platform. The company hopes to teach English innovatively, achieving all learners’ goals while maintaining the highest quality standards.
