Victoria University (VU), one of only six universities in Australia to offer TAFE and higher education courses, has recently partnered with AVENU Learning to provide innovative online courses to students in India. Supported through a grant from the Victorian Government’s International Education Resilience Fund, the VU Advantage Programmes will be offered through AVENU Learning, according to an official statement.

Under this collaboration, the courses are vocationally oriented and focused on information technology and business. AVENU Learning will be VU’s delivery partner for these courses in India. The statement further mentioned that this partnership is VU’s first venture into fully-online education delivery in an offshore market.

Speaking about the latest development, Vice-Chancellor of Victoria University, Adam Shoemaker, said:

Like AVENU Learning, we are committed to providing quality education and flexible course delivery, driven by our approach to teaching and learning. With this opportunity, we look forward to sharing how students in India can achieve meaningful and successful careers through VU courses.

The first intake for higher education diplomas in Business and IT will begin in July 2023. Upon completing the diploma units, students can continue their studies with VU by moving on to the second year of the corresponding bachelor course.

Victoria University provides multiple ways to achieve a world-class education and an exciting career. The institution aims to create positive outcomes for education, industry, and the community. Its flexible course delivery includes safe in-person learning and online classes and activities – so one can continue studying uninterrupted in changing circumstances.

The platform will offer courses that include, Diploma of Business (Enterprise), Diploma of IT, Certificate in Digital Business Skills, Certificate in Web Programming and Development, Associate Degree in Business, Associate Degree in IT, Bachelor of Business, with majors in Management and Innovation, Supply Chain and Logistics, Marketing and Human Resource Management, Bachelor of Information Technology, with majors in Mobile and Cloud Service Development and Cybersecurity.

VU and AVENU also plan to offer a range of short courses, certificates and diplomas in IT and cybersecurity.

Founded in 2019, AVENU Learning supports global learners across partner programs, including certificates of undergraduate and graduate degrees. The company aims to expand access to high-quality, affordable online education localized to the learner’s language. As a leading global provider of educational services, the startup works with universities and other educational providers to extend boundaries and reimagine the transnational learner.
