With a wealth of assessment methods used in higher education, it is difficult to choose a method that most effectively assesses the objectives of the unit of study. Therefore, the one important thing to remember while selecting an assessment methods is that, it must be aligned with the overall aims of the program, and should include the development of vocational competencies (such as particular communication or team skills).

Bath Spa University and the University of Winchester have developed a Student Fellow scheme as part of the FASTECH, a project which aims to enhance assessment and feedback through technology. Hear what different subject scholars of the University have to say on the project and the objective behind developing this project.

3. Measuring Matters: Assessing Learning Outcomes in Higher Education 

In this webinar, one can learn on the basics and pave the way for learning on how to create and implement assessment tools at the institution. It features experts that guide to the still largely uncharted world of learning outcome assessment.

4. Measuring matters: Assessing Learning Outcomes in Higher Education 

The language of learning outcomes before beginning to assess learning outcomes, we need to decide what skills are to be assessed and clearly describe successful skill development. The national student satisfaction data in England demonstrate that undergraduate students are less satisfied overall with assessment and feedback than other aspects of their higher education courses.
