“Elective” courses, including topics such as Chromebooks, mobile devices, the Google Apps admin panel, and project-based learning with Google, are also available.

Whether you’re in a 1:1 environment with students or you’d like to increase collaboration among colleagues, Teq’s Google Education preparation program will provide you with everything you need to know to get up-and-running for the 2014-15 school year. Upon completion, participants will have gained the essential knowledge and skills to become certified Google Educators.

Google Drive 1: Organization & Storage

Tuesday, January 6, 3pm ET
In this session, Teq’s PD instructors will show you how to use Google Drive as a cloud storage solution. Make the most of your Google Drive and let us show you how to organize your files for easy access, upload new files to the drive, and convert existing content from other common applications. We’ll also take a look at how to upload and store even more content (such as images) directly from your mobile device, in order to optimize your cloud-computing experience with Google Drive. View the calendar

Google Drive 2: Docs

Tuesday, January 13, 3pm ET
In this session, we’ll look at using Google Documents (Docs) as a collaborative solution for word processing tasks. Learn how to use Google Docs to improve overall workflow and transform your classroom into a paperless environment that allows for enhanced transparency during projects. Using content-based examples, we’ll also look at creating, editing, sharing, and accessing features available within Docs. View the calendar

Google Drive 3: Slides

Tuesday, January 20, 3pm ET
In this session, we’ll explore creating, editing, and sharing online presentations using Google Presentations (Slides). Starting with basic, linear presentations, we’ll expand into more advanced functions that allow for interactivity and problem-solving. Using content-based examples, we’ll dive deep into how collaborative presentations can really enhance teaching and learning. View the calendar

Google Drive 4: Forms & Sheets

Tuesday, January  27, 3pm ET
Now that you’ve got a basic understanding of how to use Google Drive in your classroom, it’s time to take your skills to the next level! In this session, you’ll learn to master more of the advanced tools featured within the Drive, and how to use those tools to design easy-to-use document templates, flash cards, and other excellent study tools for your students. View the calendar
