Twitter is unlike Facebook

A general Facebook user will be friend with university and school old friends, family members, colleagues, friends, etc, means people they already know. Twitter on the other hand is not a social networking site like facebook. It is not a place to hangout with known people but an information network. You can grow your network for information, people allow you be their friend because you share the same interest.  If you are an educator, than you will only tweet about education and people whose interest is education will automatically follows you.

Stay Purposeful

If you are on Twitter to find out like-minded people than stay purposeful and tweet meaningful things only. Unlike Facebook, there is no need to post about your daily routine, what you ate in your dinner, where are you right now, etc.  People are following you because they want some good information from you or you share relevant stuff.

It is fine if Stanger Follows You

Usually people on Facebook do not add strangers as they share their personal stuff. But with Twitter, it is fine to follow and let follow others, however, you must check if the account is not spam. Moreover, your Twitter network will not grow if you only follow people you know.

It is Obvious if People Unfollow You

It is okay if some people unfollow you. When people stop following you it’s their choice. May be they are looking for something different or other information. Do not take this on your heart. People use software to scan Twitter account for keywords, and if you have mentioned that keyword, they will start following you automatically. People also unfollow people if they are not serving their purpose like advertising their product or service.

What to Tweet and What to Reply

It is terrifying to send out your first tweet or reply on people’s tweet. But with time you will feel safe and comfortable in replying others tweets or creating your own tweet. Start with retweeting other’s stories, articles or blogs that you found interesting. Eventually, you will develop confidence.

There are a lot of great resources there on Twitter. Students and teachers both can find each other based on their location, grade level and subject. Searching and finding good teachers who are on Twitter is not a big deal if you are aware of the right platform like Tweacher.

What is Tweacher?

Tweacher is a platform where students can find best teachers on Twitter; also teachers can add their own profile. Students can find teachers by entering simple information.

When you will click on “list view”, you will get a huge list of teachers available on Twitter.

And when you will click on “Map View” you will get a list of teachers who are on Twitter and that too location wise.

Tweacher is an amazing platform that can be used to find teachers of various subjects available on Twitter. So if you are an educator and looking to get start with Twitter then this is a starting guide for you.
