Tutor.com and the New Hampshire Department of Education (NHED) have extended their tutoring collaboration agreement to encompass upper elementary students in grades 4-5 and adult learners preparing to take the GED and HiSET high school equivalency exams.

The original partnership was launched in 2022 with the aim of providing free, unrestricted, round-the-clock access to competent tutors for all middle and high school students in the state. The organization stated that tutoring is available to students enrolled in home education programmes and those attending public, private, and charter schools.

Tutoring is available in 209 subjects, from math, reading, social studies, and vocabulary to AP subjects. Individualized tutoring is available for English and Spanish speakers, and students can use text or two-way voice chat.

Other services include:

  • An online classroom with whiteboard, text and coding screens, Desmos graphing calculator, and more;
  • Other academic support through its LEO platform, such as a drop-off writing review service, self-paced SAT and ACT test prep from The Princeton Review, practice quizzes, video lessons, and other resources;
  • Increasing support to students by integrating with the learning management systems of districts and schools across the state so that students only have one login. Those who are not affiliated with a school or whose school is not signed up can create an individual account.
  • Friendly competitions among schools with ice cream or pizza parties to encourage the use of the free service.

Sharing his thoughts on the collaboration, Chief institutional officer for The Princeton Review & Tutor.com, Sandi White, said:

We are honoured to partner with the state of New Hampshire to support even more learners in achieving their educational goals. We applaud the New Hampshire Department of Education’s commitment to meeting the needs of each student across the state.

The New Hampshire Department of Education is committed to helping students, parents, and educators (including teachers, principals, superintendents, and school communities) meet the educational needs of each student. The platform provides a wealth of data and information about the Department’s programmes, services, and initiatives at the fingertips of every citizen.

Tutor.com states that in addition to being subject-matter specialists, tutors must undergo continuous background checks and quality-control procedures.

Tutor.com’s mission is to instil hope, advance equity, and catalyze achievement in schools and communities. The platform provides encouraging, empowering, and effective academic and professional support for learners of all ages and stages—from kindergarten through college, graduate school, career, and continuing education. The company believes every student deserves a personal tutor and is dedicated to promoting equity, opportunity, and achievement for all learners. It partners with colleges and universities,K–12 schools and districts, public and state libraries, employee benefits programs, and the US military to provide 24/7, on-demand, 1-to-1 tutoring and homework help in more than 250 subjects.

Tutor.com, with its headquarters in New York City, has helped educational institutions increase student pass and persistence rates, instilling a sense of confidence in students’ academic performance. The company has delivered more than 24 million students with one-on-one online tutoring and assignment assistance since its inception in 2000. It claims it has over 3,000 certified and screened tutors who offer round-the-clock learning support in various areas.
