Internshala, a career-tech platform, has inked an MoU with the Media & Entertainment Skills Council (MESC), a sector Skill Council established by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). Under the terms of this MoU, Internshala and MESC will work together to create a skill ecosystem that will foster skill development by leveraging their experience and resources to provide high-quality training programmes tailored to the needs of the media and entertainment industries. Furthermore, the partnership intends to increase access to varied career opportunities in the entertainment and media sectors by providing individuals with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in a competitive professional landscape.

According to the announcement, MESC will also extend credit to Internshala Training courses in accordance with the UGC’s National Credit Framework (NCrF), established in 2022. This will increase the credibility and reputation of these programmes among students, allowing them to store these credits in their Academic Bank of Credits.

Expressing his enthusiasm about the partnership, Sarvesh Agrawal, Founder & CEO of Internshala, stated:

We are delighted to join hands with the Media and Entertainment Skills Council under NSDC to empower aspiring professionals with the requisite skills and expertise to succeed in the vibrant media and entertainment industry. As India’s leading career-tech platform offering skilling, internships, and job opportunities, Internshala remains dedicated to nurturing talent and fostering industry-relevant capabilities across various sectors. We are committed to empowering individuals with the skills needed to thrive in today’s dynamic professional world.

Internshala, which began in 2010, helps college students and recent graduates achieve the most fantastic start in their professions. It gives students access to online training in in-demand skills and their first real-world experience through internships and entry-level jobs, helping them launch their careers. The portal also provides fresh job opportunities and placement guarantee courses, keeping with its vision of assisting students at every stage of their careers.

On signing the MoU with Internshala, Mohit Soni, CEO of the Media and Entertainment Council, commented:

Today marks a pivotal moment in our commitment to shaping the future of the media and entertainment industry. By signing this Memorandum of Understanding with Internshala, we embark on a transformative journey of collaboration and innovation. As the guardians of talent development, we recognize the imperative to cultivate a pipeline of skilled professionals equipped to thrive in the dynamic realms of media and entertainment. This partnership signifies our shared dedication to empowering the next generation of creators, storytellers, and visionaries. Together, we will harness the power of mentorship, training, and experiential learning to unlock boundless opportunities and drive sustainable growth.

Soni added:

Through synergistic efforts, we will bridge skill gaps and cultivate a culture of excellence and inclusivity. As we embark on this collaborative endeavour, we reaffirm our unwavering commitment to nurturing talent, fostering creativity, and propelling the industry towards new horizons of success and innovation.

The Media & Entertainment Skills Council (MESC) was founded in 2012 and is a non-profit organization registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. The Council was formed by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), with financial support from the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). It is an awarding organization for NCVET. The organization has 150+ Affiliated Training Partners, 933+ Certified Trainers, 24+ Empaneled Assessment Agencies, 5,64,195 Trainings under MESC, and 108 QPs throughout 12 Sub-Sectors.
