Through this collaboration, Kerala’s workforce will be equipped with the skills required by the industry and gain from relevant internships and apprenticeships. There will be a mutual exchange of knowledge and best practices, and industry insights will be shared between the two parties. With a focus on continuous learning and practical experience, the employability of job seekers will be improved, eventually leading to Kerala’s socio-economic development.

Speaking on the partnership, Shantanu Rooj, Founder & CEO of TeamLease EdTech, said:

This partnership represents significant steps towards bridging the skill gap and enhancing employability in Kerala. By integrating work experience with academic learning, we aim to create a robust talent supply chain that meets the evolving demands of today’s job market. Our Collaborative efforts with the Kerala Development and Innovation Strategic Council (K-DISC) will empower students with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in their careers.

K-DISC is the Kerala Government’s advisory body for developing plans highlighting increased productivity and employment and promoting equitable and inclusive development.

Dr PV Unnikrishnan, member secretary of K-DISC, stated:

The collaboration with TeamLease EdTech is a landmark initiative in our efforts to boost our youth’s employability and skill levels. This MOU will significantly enhance the employment prospects of our students, thereby fostering sustainable economic development in Kerala.
